I just stick a glass bowl on my head and cut around it.

I might go with something along these lines

Except Ill smoulder less, obviously

1 or .5 back and sides

Since I changed to that I get my hair cut once every five weeks instead of every 3.

On a side note I am going into town right now to get my hair cut and also don't have any clue what I want... I might just point to one of the other people and shout "LIKE THAT!"

I was in there a month or so ago and there was some like 5 year old kid, didnt know what he wanted, so she just did a style for him. It was the coolest strawberry floating gooseberry fool and I wanted so bad to just point at the 5 year old and say "give me that".

I got my hair cut pretty much 3 or 4 times a year a most :shifty:

I get what they call a "surf cut" with it thined, layered and tapered around the sides and back with some on top to mess with. They use those choppy scissors or blades. I do it because my head is massive and my hair is really thick too. Whenever it's short it just looks too short and all my features stick out.

Then it just grows out until it's unmanageable or I have an interview.

I grow it until everyone at work starts bullying me and then it gets cut and the cycle begins anew

That would happen if I didn't work from home about 90% of the time.

I don't have any bants like that even when it as working ft in an office. The polite thing is to compliment you when you do get it cut.

I'll never forget when I was a kid though (I always had shoulder length hair which I guess is part of it), I first got my hair cut short and had to go to primary school. I was so nervous I hid outside the door of my class for about 10 minutes and eventually went in, and everyone gasped for a moment then applauded. :cool:

I used to have an afro in sec school.

In work they alternate between calling me Grimmy and Dandy, the latter because one day I came in with my hair all messed up from the night before and they said I looked like a 17th century dandy. Specifically, this one.

My name in the officially vetted administrative users group is Joel Dandy.

If people are just getting short back and sides would you not just buy a clippers and DIY?Ive been doing it for years and have saved dozens of pennies.

I have other free options like mum or girlfriend but they really aren't as good as a salon, if you go short all the time then I would probably do that.

I bought one of those Philips "Cut your own hair" jobs. The first time I used it was the most nerve racking experience ever. Until you realise it's nigh on impossible to strawberry float up.

I basically cut it short and then over the course of the next 3 months go through multiple hair styles until I end up looking like Richard Hammond and cut it off again.

Best 50 quid I ever spent.

Thing is, it's just not the same when your mum's breasts graze the back of your head.

Im not cutting my own hair when other people will do it for me

Having said that, my mum hasn't cut my hair in at least 7 years.

My last salon had loads of boobies, now I've moved the current one is like the same but 20 years into the future. Not sure if want.

I am not going to cut my own hair because it will end up being an inverse sideways mohawk. Can't be having that. Not even for the bants!

I just went with a 2 back and sides with a thin and trim on top which Ive now swept over with pomade, looks ok
