Well no, you probably wouldn't want to answer the front door with it on, and it's properly stained my sink, but it's made my skin feel nice I will admit.

Face masks are a strawberry floating mess. I only ever use them before I have a shower since I can just easily washing it off there instead of making a state of the sink, and it's much easier doing it that way if you have a beard.

I recently got into smelling nice for longer.

Was in a supermarket and noticed that Lynx do cheap aftershave. A few weeks later, while looking to see if Dark Temptation EDT was on offer, I noticed a smaller Lynx sprays, which turned out to be Lynx Signature Daily Fragrance. I ended up buying really liking the Tobacco and Amber. So much so that I gave all my other deodorants away. Inevitably, this turned out to be quite the slippery slope, and I have since added Lynx Oud Wood & Dark Vanilla to my collection, as well as Dior's Sauvage (newer formulation) and am looking for an additional scent to change things up. Tried Paco Rabanne's Lucky and found it to be really nice but far too flash. YSL's Y on the other hand was also interesting, but didn't give the impression I was trying to impress anybody. Oh and, I also use Joop Jump, but that's what I wear when I'm not going to work, or somewhere special.

I use channel bleu. It's good.

For some stupid reason I decided to shave my neck against the grain yesterday for the first time in years and today I'm Spotty Muldoon. Itches like crazy.

I went clean shaven for the first time in about a decade last weekend. The spots are only just now on the verge of having completely disappeared.

I need to decide between trying to figure out how to not let it happen or to just go back to stubble trimming again.

Trying to find a decent barber in London and there seems to be loads of well known establishments in central London but at £40-60 a pop...i don't think so
The most I have ever spent on a cut is £27 but these days the average cost seems to be around £15

At the moment I get mine for £20 in Liverpool when I'm back home and that includes a wash and what seems to be a very decent cut.

I recently went somewhere that cost just £7, it looked ok to be honest but another barber told me it wasn't cut very well. Plus the shop was dirty with other peoples hair all over the counter top as it was just a one man band and he didn't have time to clean up during the day.

Overall I reckon £20 is a good balance between cost and quality of service. How much do you pay for your hair cuts?

I usually go for a buzzcut (no.2 all over) and pay around 8 quid.

Just tried out one of the top barbers in London called Joe and Co, £51 for a cut from one of their senior stylists.

My usual barber does a fantastic job for £19, so I always go to him whenever I'm home in Liverpool. But last month I went to a random place in London for £15 and she did a terrible job. It was too short but it looked alright for the first week then it lost its shape as it began to grow back.

Anyway this place in soho did a good job, had a great consultation on what could be done and how I'm gonna have to let it grow back in parts.
Don't think I can justify the £51 in the long term but maybe just a few months and see how it goes. But the whole process was great I had confidence in what he was doing and he really took his time to look at my hair and made sure it was cut perfectly.

Happy that he managed to put a lot of shape back into my hair and hopefully it will grow out fine in the next 6 weeks.

Just thought I'd update this. Its been nearly 6 weeks and I still in no way feel that I need another haircut yet, as it's grown out really well and doesn't look a mess. Still feels as if I only got it cut last week! I can leave it for another 2 weeks before I get it cut again I reckon which is fantastic compared to my usual cut every 3-4 weeks. So the overall costs are similar.

Anyone got a recommendation for an electric razor/shaver? Mine has just died and I need to replace it ASAP, and it needs to be sharp because I have a damn important meeting!

Do you mean a clipper or a foil razor?

clipper - can't go wrong with the oneblade.

foil /total shave - either grow a beard or use saftey/straight razors.

One blade is best

Cheers, I'll check out one blade - although razor type things where you need to keep replacing the heads are not really what I would favour these days.
