Some amazing times there. Congraulations Jezo :toot:

Not having much luck at all with Toad Harbour so far. The first half is so tight, you have to be absolutely perfect.

What was it? I can let you off the first week.

Just registered a first half-decent, non-shit run for Toad Harbour. Missed a few coins, quite a bit of side-bashing, but still beat the staff ghost.

I love this circuit!

The real question though Drummy; has this game moved up from 8/10 for you yet?

Even if I'm not troubling the top half of the tables, I'll be taking part anyway as I really don't play this much and already this has helped me get much better at the actual Mario kart part of it rather than just following a perfect line.

I think my goal is to beat all the staff ghosts.

Managed to beat the ghost but I'm finding this course so stressful. Completed the course about four times in 30 attempts. Might just leave it there for this week.

Using my current route/strat I reckon I'm within 0.5 of a perfect run

I'll need to double check, but it was definitely good enough for last! Don't think I got under 1:12

On this course I can have second and third laps that feel equally as good and then find out that one of them (usually the third) was like 0.750 worse

For me there two tough bits to this course:

1) exiting the chicane prior to the trams
2) squeezing past the trams

Most of the time I screw up it's one of those two bits.

Managed to beat the staff ghost so I'm happy! Think I can get my time down a bit more but flawless execution over three laps is tricky!

For me the tricky parts are hopping over the grass at the right turn right after the start line, and the right turn after the jump if you take the right path up the hill after the part with the market/decking at the beginning (we may be on about the same bit?).

I can squeeze past the trams no bother it seems!

Have enjoyed this track much more than I thought I would! Will see if I can shave another second off over the course of this week, but don't think I can get much faster without a change of route.

I don't do either of those bits. The grass at the start seemed to return negligible benefits so I just take the corner normally.

The narrow hill path I couldn't nail without bashing into the side so I just take the normal route. Perhaps I'll give that one a try, it'd likely require a combo change to some wheels with better cornering, but then I'd end up taking a hit on top speed for the rest of the course.

Without a route change I'm probably not beating my current time.

First time I was close to beating the staff ghost, I used my last mushroom to skip the corner at the end and went straight into the tram. :simper:

Just beat the staff ghost by about .12
Messed up on the last lap, but I still wouldn't be close to Drummy's time at my current pace. Still a few days, though.

... saying that, I've just done probably the best run I could. Changed my route and it made all the difference, even if it was more difficult to not crash.

After dozens of botched final laps I've beaten my target time, so I'm going to leave it at that for the week.
