I didn't have a problem on the other mk games, but I've never been able to do it on 8. Not being able to do it has never been a problem until now when we are doing time trials.

I read about accelerating from 2, but its not working for me - so do you literally just hold accelerate when 2 appears or should be as it fades?

I do it when the 2 is fully visible and it seems to work fine

Why the strawberry float do they allow you to switch between different speeds for Time Trial? Bizarre.

I flipped a coin and the outcome was 200cc so we'll go with that.

I feel like 2nd and 3rd place folks deserve some kinda shout out too. But it might make keeping track a bit harder. I don't have the game anymore but this seems really fun. Might ask my cousin to let me borrow his copy >,>

Yeah. If after this round the majority want to drop to 150 we can give that a go. I've barely played 200cc even in GP mode but it wasn't too bad, slightly more challenging as you have to adjust your lines to accommodate the extra speed

I too was worried, until I just checked the online ghosts and realised that would make Drummy the world champion by a wide margin.

I'm ok with losing to the best.

The in game ghost is like 1:10 and I can't get close to it.

Fear not, I created a spreadsheet that adds times and calculates points based on placing. I'll provide an update each week. :msgreen:
