He’s supposed to be an annoying, unlikeable unsufferable banana split, just like Sherlock Holmes. You aren’t supposed to like him at first but you find he grows on you.

Just finished episode 2. :o

Finished episode 2 as well. It was very good, although the solution to the locked room was really obvious. No courtroom scenes made it feel more like Miles Edgeworth Investigations but I did enjoy the change of pace.

I like that Sholmes is not very good at solving crimes

I hope he grows on me. I am concerned though. With a literary figure/expy there's presumably only so much character development you can do.

The Dance of Deduction was great though.

Episode 3 done.

That was truly a good case. Love the jury system but just wish we could slam fireballs.

I'm at around the same place. It was a good case, but... why haven't I had an investigation and a trial in the same case yet? Bit odd.

Baron von Zieks is the best prosecutor since Godot. Susato is good too, as is Stronghart.

Might start case 3 in the morning. I got sidetracked by Mass Effect this evening. Oops

I think we should get Photek's feedback on the accuracy of his dialogue. ;)

Episode 4 done and dusted.

Clearly my favourite one so far.

I don't believe this but I'm actually stuck on the first case

I can't spot anything out of place in the 3rd picture (the handbag one)

Case 3 is getting really interesting.

I keep saying it but I absolutely love the Victorian London setting. It's so delightfully silly.

My physical copy turned up last night. Will have to start this soon, but the sooner I start it the sooner it will be over :(

Its a lovely feeling knowing that there are two complete games there though.

Hmm, yes... I'm at case 4 and it feels a lot like the first game is just a protracted intro to the second.

Also the defendant in this one is really irritating me.

Please explain?

I always miss out on the inside jokes of names meaning something else, and the whole game is basically that.

The only one I got is Luke Atmey from Phoenix Wright 3.

It's simpler than it seems (and, er, not as funny as I make it sound): it's just the archetypal Australian name, as seen in such cultural greats as the Monty Python Australian philosophers' sketch. Quite a lot of the UK stuff seems to draw from there: see the shop names in the 'first visit to London' anime cut-scene.

Please tell me you got the couple in the fourth case? And the two witnesses who appear together in the first one?

No sadly I didn’t get it lol. Play with words that sounds like something isn’t ideal for a full deaf person like me. I only got Luke Atmey after mouthing “F**k you, Luke Atmey.”

Fairplay is the only one that’s ironic, considering he’s quick to decide guilty. And the cases so far in the game aren’t really fair play.
