I get the temporary LOL this would have raised but would you really have let this happen? All your effort, everything underway, all the promise of what was to come and you would have honestly just said "Oops, RNG says game over, congratulations Conformists, see you all next time!" :slol:

They would have still needed to pass the act to end the game, which wouldn't have happened-the thread fall out to the Church Conformity Act appearing would have been funny though.

Yeah it would have presumably been voted down quite easily, but it would have added to the perception of Kinopio causing chaos! Might have made people more keen to lynch him.

Of course :fp: I think my brain has already started repressing my Hannivalia obsession .

Next time I'd just go full Rambo on everyone! :slol:

But yeah it was a hard situation to be in - the temptation is always to use the kills because you have them but realistically a win for me was only ever going to stand a chance if I made it far enough in the game that my remaining kills would make a genuine difference to the numbers of power roles left - and so logically the sensible play is to be boring and play it safe.

Yay me for stopping a Conformist gaining temporary power. And good to know that both me and the roleblocker were thinking along the same lines, even if the Conformists we hit weren't the ones using the power.

If I had targeted Parksey instead of Ob Bob on that first night... That would have been insane luck. But there would be no guarantee I'd have managed to sway the town. It would have been too easy to just claim a role and be safe until State Secrets Act got passed.

I look forward to future games having the 'youre not trustworthy / you'll just do what you want' claim thrown at me. Despite the fact I followed MP instruction every time, bar the one where it was a clear disadvantage to us to do so.

If Mommy was the Chief whip he'd probably have passed it. :slol:

I think I got screwed by the time difference a bit, mainly because no one being online when I typically was put me in the classic 'semi-inactive' zone that a lot of baddies traditionally hide in. But once I was rumbled I was surprised I held on for the couple of days that I did. Wish I'd stirred up more gooseberry fool on my way out but real world stuff was happening over that couple of days. I was definitely saved by the completely undeserved support from Ob that I very much appreciated.

I felt genuinely bad about bullshitting him in the PMs :slol:

He should know that not everything I said was a lie

I'd love a Christmas one as I'll have loads if time! And I don't care about it being too soon. Realise others may feel differently though!

Yeah a Xmas game would potentially give us all more time to focus on it but on the other hand people might prefer to spend time with their families rather than a forum game.

If people are open to it, could think about a December 17th or so launch.

When do signups open for this? :shifty:

I saw an episode of Legends of Tomorrow which had the characters playing a Mafia game, spent the whole episode imagining Moggy was lurking in the shadows pulling the strings.

God these past few weeks have gone by quickly. I'll do some prep this weekend and maybe do the signup thread next week.

Yessss

PS make sure you create alt accounts with old sounding names like the last game.

There will definitely be alt accounts. I can't remember if I did this last time, but I'm also going to do anonymous signups so nobody knows who's playing.

Probably easier if I came up with a load of new alt account names rather than getting the mod team to reset the passwords of all the old accounts. Somewhat of a shame though, because I liked those account names. They were all a mix of characters from vampire fiction, people related to the Jack the Ripper case or just alive in the 1800s.

Happy to do this if you want, PM me. I can also set you up to control access to a dead thread.

Do not mess around with the old accounts please. It'd ruin re-reading the original AYAV thread.
