Hyperion is going to Vote Rig in the affirmative as the Chief Whip to pass it even though we all vote against it. If he doesn't he was lying to me about being the Chief Whip and is likely a Conformist.

Is there due to be an announcement or do we just assume Mommy has been elected?

Mommy, you need to formally declare who is going up for the lynch.

If I am elected tonight it is Sawyerpip, a known Conformist and fanatic who will be lynched.

I'm on my phone so it's a ballache for me to do, but can someone make a list of the tiles, so we can work out which are still hidden?

Of course the rest of us don’t know who the Seer is, and this is assuming you are the Noble and Ron is the Occultist.

I would urge other roles not come forward to Mommy, yet, as I’m wary of how much power he is consolidating.

I know who the filibuster is, so that leaves Spymaster and Committee chair.

I'm pretty sure SuperChris came out as the Committee Chair ages ago?

We still have the spymaster and filibuster as unknowns, so that leaves like three people not accounting for the possibility of some roles having multiple dudes attatched to them. To all relevant parties, please stay in the closet

If I knew how to post GIFs I'd have a good speaker one about wasting parliament time right now.

End of Day Eight

The day seems to drag, perhaps the anticipation of the lynching drawing the hours out longer than they should last or perhaps because the great hall's bell no longer keeps the time, but eventually the captain of the Royal Guard makes his appearance.

"How this parliament decides to root out the traitors within is a matter for parliament, not myself or the Duke, and I am informed you now have elected someone to take responsibility for doing so. Make yourself known to me, and we can get this business done."

Mommy steps out from the shrinking crowd as the first Minister of Internal Affairs.

"By the power vested in me by this parliament, I surrender sawyerpip into your custody."

As his name is spoken sawyerpip suddenly grasps at a guardsman, taking him by surprise with an arm around his neck. Holding a knife to the guard's throat he backs towards a side exit, eyes darting erratically around the room whose attention is now fully on his actions.

"You'll never take me to the rope! Back off, all of you!"

The captain calmly draws his pistol, taking aim even as sawyerpip presses the knife into his captive's neck, drawing blood.

"I said back of-"

The captain fires, the bullet flying true and finding its mark in sawyerpip's forehead. He collapses to the ground.

A search of the body finds not only a Conformist ring, but a vial of deadly poison. It seems sawyerpip was a Fanatic.

When the body is removed, a fresh bloodstain now marking the flagstones, it is the turn of the Speaker to talk.

"On the debate of the Ministry of Truth Act..."

Kinopio checks the tally carefully, suspecting something is amiss, but all appears in order.

"With no votes in favour and ten against, I declare that the Ministry of Truth Act fails to pass into law!"
