I'm not overly impressed with RTJ4 so far, it's pretty decent but not up to the standards of 3.

Really enjoying the latest JME album. Latest Future is pretty good too.

Need to check out Wiley's Godfather 3 later.

JME's Grime album is amazing - the bar is high for Godfather 3
i am leaning towards your opinion on RTJ4 too - it lacks those distinctive songs that 3 had. ill see if it grows on me with a few more listens.
Future just gets on my nerves - he is so one-note and that note has been surpassed by others since he emerged.

What's been your favourite live Hip Hop experience?

I saw Kendrick in Glasgow in 2013 in fairly small venue and remember thinking "I will never see an artist of this calibre in a small venue like this again".




Also when I saw Chance at Wireless and he performed Ultralight Beam and Waves. My god I was blubbering so much.



Side note, that was a present from my now ex who left me few weeks ago and here I am blubbering again watching that through.

RTJ at Brixton Academy after RTJ3 came out - amazing emotional gig with a bonus Danny Brown set at the start
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib at O2 Kentish Town was incredible - no video so youll have to take my word for it. Freddie basically played loads of his old songs as well as stuff off Pinata and Bandana
Rico Nasty at XOYO - tiny venue, incredible energy - was amazing as well to be at a hiphop gig with more women than men so getting moshed by women was a novel experience
Denzel Curry at the Roundhouse - this was insane. he brought out loads of local guests too which was amazing

The show at the O2 academy was excellent. Danny Brown stripping down to his boxers and throwing all his clothes and watch into the crowd

I think I was at that same Brixton Academy show as you. It was a great RTJ show, but the sound mixing for Danny's opening set was shocking.

Does Sleaford Mods count? For a stage show that consists of 2 guys standing on the spot with a laptop and a microphone, they sure managed to create a lot of energy in the room.
