I don't know whether your trevally are contaminated with ciguatera or not, but use caution just in case.

So not only can they kill you by eating you, but they can also kill you by you eating them!

And there are most likely some Greenland sharks alive today that were alive when Shakespeare was knocking about :o

If you leave a dead Greenland shark to rot, the toxins in its body break down to the point that it is edible, although that is a matter of opinion. At least you won't die.

This rotten Greenland shark is an Icelandic delicacy. I have tried a chunk, and can safely say it is the most disgusting thing it is possible to eat.

It makes me want to retch just thinking of it again.

Oddly enough, when my parents worked in Saudi Arabia in the late 70's/early 80's Vimto was one of the only available western drinks you could buy there and was surprisingly popular with the locals, more so than Coca-Cola.

When it comes to overseas drinks distibution, i still think it's a shocking state of affairs that Um Bongo is not readily available in the Congo.

uh fun animal facts here we go

wallabies living near australian opium fields have learned to use it to get high
jaguars like to use ayahuasca presumably for the DMT it contains
There's a small population of hippos living in columbia, which are descended from individuals that escaped from Pablo Escobar's personal menagerie

yeah i always found this cool; really puts into perspective exactly how successful dinosauria and archosauria are as groups considering the fact that they were dominant for 170mya and are still arguably the most successful vertebrate clade alive today

they also smell like piss and dont reach sexual maturity until they're like 150

The first British flag came about in 1606 when James VI of Scotland inherited the English throne and became known as James I of England. He sought to create a flag that combined the symbols of the two countries and represented the unification of their crowns.

When you think about it "I'll just draw both flags on top of each other" is actually a pretty lame and uncreative way to represent a union of two countries

The "Grand Union Flag" (also known as the "Continental Colors", the "Congress Flag", the "Cambridge Flag", and the "First Navy Ensign") is considered to be the first national flag of the United States of America.

A diagonally split flag with each countries flag depicted on each half then?

Or the words first lenticular flag that depicts a different image depending on the angle you see it from.

Why does it have to be some stale-ass half-and-half of two flags we already saw? That's so last millenium. Why not design something new and radical?

Idea: The flag of the UK should be furry porn of a dragon, the Loch Ness monster, and a leprechaun having a three-way while St. George hides in the bushes jerking off.

It's bold, it's subversive, it's horny yet not problematic. I'm not seeing any downsides.
