Time for Part 2. I think. The New York bit is Part 2 right?

It starts in New York, yes. It doesn't stay there very long.

Really enjoying it so far, it's maybe not quite as out there as OPM, but I can see it has a way to go yet and all the different quirks and suits are cool.

Hopefully it won't take as long to decide what we watch next :)

Are you okay with watching stuff through unofficial channels? If yes > Mob Psycho 100. Source material is by the same guy who did OPM. It's different to OPM, but like OPM there are moments where the feels get you good and proper. Well worth a try:

Thanks, I'll give it a try :)

I've never watched Ergo Proxy despite being a big fan of Cyberpunk stuff. Might seek it out as I have also heard good things over the years.

Newest Mob Psycho 100 episode had some gorgeous animation and Reigen's special moves never get old.  This season has been an almost perfect adaptation with my only complaint being a few skipped scenes here and there.

Netflix Japan have apparently announced a new series of Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan. It will be interesting to see how many episodes it is as although some chapters were skipped there shouldn't be enough for a full 24 episodes unless we get some anime-original skits or adaptation of the short spin-off and 4-koma run.

Re:Zero season 2 has also been announced which I'm pretty happy about as it was pretty decent for an Isekai.

Regarding Saiki K: I'm still miffed the second series didn't get a English dub :( I normally wouldn't mind but the first series did, and I really warmed to the VA work, and so it was difficult going to original audio.

Aye. IIRC it was because Funimation or Crunchyroll didn't renew for season 2 and when Netflix licenced it they just didn't bother with a dub. It's a shame as although I didn't watch the dub I had heard good things about the work the cast put in.

That's Parts 1 and 2 of JoJo watched, definitely enjoyed that.

Can't decide which part I liked better though really.
For Part 1 Dio was a way better villain than the 5 in part 2, and I liked Jonathon as a protagonist more than Joseph.
For Part 2 though the increased length did mean more character development and the fights were generally a bit better.

No idea what you guys were talking about avoiding the sub voices though. The dub voices were great, especially cockney Speedwagon.

Watched that Re:Zero. I liked it. I don't normally enjoy the sucked into a fantasy world type anime, but I liked this. TBF, I also liked Konosuba.

Really glad to hear Re:Zero got a new season. Also speaking of Konosuba, it's getting a movie :D

I personally like the whole getting sucked into another world genre, but it does irk me when the other world is a game, to the point where the main character can see a strawberry floating menu or some gooseberry fool like that.

I've not seen many, but they all seem to be sucked into a fantasy world too.

Konosuba was great though. Didn't know it was getting aovie, will keep my eye out for that.

tbh I think the dub's pretty decent so far as dubs go(Dio and Joseph are particular standouts), and there was clearly a lot of care and respect put into it. That being said JoJo is just something that has to be experienced in Japanese as a lot of stuff is lost in translation and as such you're missing out on a big part of the show's appeal

I remember liking Re:Zero quite a bit when I saw it, largely cuz it offered a nice take on the whole issekai thing and genre fatigue hadn't settled in then. I read most of the next arc in the web novel and tbh I think it's all kinda dumb, but I'll check out S2, if only for the sick ass production values and visual direction typical of White Fox

If you like the genre, I very much recommend Log Horizon; along with Konosuba, it's one of the best shows of that kind I've seen

The guy who does Jonathan's English voice is the voice of Yu Narukami, so I can't hear anything other than "PERRRSONAHHH" any time he speaks. Also his accent slips quite a lot, at least in the first episode.

And so the first season of Kaguya-sama:Love is War comes to an end and what a fantastic adaptation it has been. Hopeful for a second season after those future character teases at the end and as the manga has only gotten better with time the same should be the case with the anime.

I've started reading Overlord, up to chapter 3 so far. Albedo is cute.
