Its just so bloody weird and exceptionally gory but the setting is interesting and I just want to see what happens next.

I love how like, grimy and generally punky that show feels

I love the credits sequence that resembles an early 90's FPS, its just so odd.

The mushroom guy is probably my favorite 'evil' character in this, with Noi being a close 2nd

Watching the Big Green dub of The Dead Zone, and it's even better than I imagined.

The way every character crams about five minutes of exposition into three seconds of screen time is on par with the likes of Speed Racer. The clips don't do it justice! :slol: :slol:

Finished Dorohedoro, that was some ride. Completely insane but I really enjoyed it.

Hopefully enough people watched it for Netflix to grab the 2nd season.

A few thoughts so spoilers ahead

I quite likes how there's no properly defined 'good' or 'evil' characters, almost everyone is morally ambiguous .

Ebisu is basically Ed from Cowboy Bebop, albeit minus the genius intelligence, she's just so adorably weird

Caiman cross dressing as the pie shop owners 'wife' is one of the funniest anime moments I've seen in ages

The exchanging of contracts scene was all kinds of messed up

Just about to wrap up the Frieza saga. I like making fun of the whole "five minutes" thing as much as the next guy, but fuuuuuucking hell. This whole season is so poorly paced. You could genuinely rip out 3/4 of the runtime and still keep the exact same amount of content.

Mob Psycho 100 s2ep4 - Dat heavy sense of impending doom :dread: :dread: :dread: The writing and art come together so well that it feels both oppressive and impressive.

What the hell have animes got against my breakfast anyway?!

Holy strawberry floating gooseberry fool. Gundam Thunderbolt's first movie is so strawberry floating dark. Easily one of the darkest animes I've ever seen. War in the Gundam universe always looks scary, but this is on another level. Human lives in space look like like nothing and it's generally really terrifying in a way no other series I've seen has made it look before. I was planning to watch the movies back to back, but I seriously need a break after watching that wow.

Yeah I pretty much feel the same, especially towards the morality of the series. One of the weirder things I've seen in a while, would like more as such.

The ending of Gundam Thunderbolt's second movie makes me very confused. I assume the story is continuing in the manga or something?

Almost finished Assassination Classroom. (Currently on 178.) I think comedies are my favourite genre.

Just finished watching Your Name.

Just wow, that was brilliant. Definitely one of the best anime films I've ever seen.

Still trying to process the feels from the ending.

the bit where Taki and Mitsuha finally meet

I refuse to watch that.

Finished Assassination Classroom  Much wholesome.

Back to One Piece! :toot:

Just noticed Haikyu!! manga is still ongoing. Looks like a lengthy read, too, at 202 chapters as of July 19. Hopefully it'll still be on there when I'm done with season 2 of the anime on Netflix.
