Holy strawberry floating gooseberry fool Berserk is continuing!

I am so glad it is under the supervision of Miura's longtime friend Kouji Mori.

:D :D :D

Amazing news. To celebrate, I just bought the memorial issue of Young Animal.

One Piece manga on a month break now. Everyone is arguing over by the meaning of how Oda signed off. (No ones knows if he meant they'll be figuring out final arc, or final saga, or something else entirely -- Sandman's translation could even be read it's only related to end of current arc  :fp:)

Excellent news on Berserk, I do worry the quality might suffer without Miura's genius but I'm choosing to be very optimistic on that being unlikely.

When the Marineford War arc finished and the time skip happened, I'm pretty sure the manga had a 1 month break, I wouldn't be too worried at this stage.

Not worried as such. Just wondering what Oda meant. (I mean, even if it's the final arc they're preparing then we've still likely got years and years of chapters. But if it is the final arc then you have to wonder how much they'd pack into it and what that'd mean the quality of it. Like... would they rush through Elbaf? Would they even go there?! So I'm just hoping there's more than one arc to go.)

EDIT:

I suppose "reorganising final arc" doesn't mean it's the next arc.

Wtf they've got so much story to get resolved. At least 1 more yonkou to defeat and 1 admiral, plus seeing more of the revolutionary army and finding One Piece and explaining the origin of D.

Unless that 1 arc is consisting of many sub-arcs within and is hundreds of chapters I don't see how that can all be given sufficient storytelling.

I've seen places translate it as "saga" and not "arc". Like the "Emperor saga" started back in Zou, which has been going for 6 years and is just wrapping up. So it's not like we just have 20 more chapters to rush everything.

The Twitter account I've embedded above, they posted kanji used by other titles announcing final arcs. The kanji used by them and the OP announcement is the same. Now, what that means for actual content could be wildly different going by the fact Bleach's final arc supposedly lasted 200+ chapters.
When OP is on break for 4 weeks SJ are gonna be printing cut content. Will be interesting to see if they cut places previously announced...

I'm just glad Wano will finally be over, it went from my favourite arc to one I've just wanted to see the back of for the past year or so.

I'm enjoying the anime version a lot more than I expected to. The music at times is just amazing, and the colours are just a total feast for the eyes.

One of the things I see as being a One Piece trademark is how they sometimes handle gaps between arcs/sagas/whatever the strawberry float in different ways. So hopefully this will be another such occasions where they not only do back-to-back arcs but maybe multiples of it. But yeah, I really hope they don't now rush it to a finish to make up for probably spending too long on Wano.

I want to watch One Piece but the frankly insane number of episodes is putting me off, I watched the entirety of Black Clover in just over a month so I reckon if I started it now I'd probably still be watching it at Christmas.

Do it! You honestly won't regret it. And FORGET about the number of eps; just watch it at your own pace and forget about the idea of CATCHING UP TO THE BRIGHT COLOURS AND AMAZING MUSIC OF WANO COUNTRY!!!! Seriously though, just watch at your own pace and forget about the idea of catching up.

Currently re-watching HxH (at the expense of One Piece!) and am SERIOUSLY miffed Crunchyroll don't have original audio because Razor's VA was, I am pretty sure, the same guy who does the Japanese voice acting for Yakuza's Kazuma Kiryu. English VA isn't bad, but I want Kaz!

Wait, did Crunchyroll lose the rights to the subbed version? They definitely had it before, that's how I watched it. :?

I just checked on the app, it's still there. They've got Season 1 (1-74) Dubbed, Season 2 (75-148) Dubbed, and for some reason the sub is under Season 5... :|

Was just about to post that  :fp: FFS Crunchyroll!!

O well! I was only 71 episodes in of the re-watch  Will just re-re-watch the last few eps featuring Razor and then carry on with subs. Cheers for helping me figure it out, CM
