I feel strangely aroused.

Also, the one on the left appears to be preparing to place her clenched fist 'somewhere'.

Shame, the one on the right has some nice studded wrist bands that would be quite the sensation. :shifty:

If you're a fan of Initial D I URGE you to read MF Ghost. It follows on from Initial D and it's currently serialised by the same Mangaka. It's amazing.

I really should finish Initial D. I read about 200 or so chapters years ago but lost my place and I've been finding it hard to motivate myself to read series I'm not up-to-date on lately. :(

Does Yu-Gi-Oh count as a sport?

I tried watching Eyeshield 21 but was, again, bored out of my mind with it.

I guess you're just not a sports anime person. It's either your thing or it isnt. I guess watching always expecting the protagonist to win can be a little bit of a buzzkill.

Got some book vouchers from work. Picked up One Piece 1-3 collection. I'm not very far in, but am really enjoying what I've read so far.

I just can't get into One Piece, the art, the story, none of it clicks for me. It's a total mystery to me as to why so many people love it so much, especially given that anyone going into it must know the immense number of volumes there are, which I would think would be even more off putting.

Also, Tenjin Senpai was pretty funny...

One Piece was never the most tidy in terms of art but Oda always excelled at panelling, conveying depth to his drawings and the overall flow of each chapter. A single page can be completely full of characters in battle with multiple speech bubbles but it never feels too busy or hard to follow which cannot be said for many of his contemporaries. The rough, cartoonish nature of his art coupled with the many races and devil fruit abilities has also allowed him to get really creative with his location and character designs. It's just a shame that 99% of the female cast have the same face and body.

My first experience with One Piece was the terrible dubbed anime in the early 00's which left a bad taste in my mouth for years. I gave it another chance around a decade ago and after a week or two of power reading I've been up-to-date ever since.

Saiki K keeps getting better. The bit where Reita gets himself possesed by ghosts to hit on a girl is quite possibly the most I've laughed in a really long time. The harem protagonist bit was hilarious.

Nendo getting the love letter had me in stitches the other day. It's such a predictable setup and yet each one of the friends' reactions (and how they were depicted) was perfect.
