Watching How Heavy are the Dumbbells you lift? and the poor form on these curls in the intro sequence is really annoying me...

Image

Especially as they have another segment with curls like 20 seconds earlier where they had good form.

Totally unwatchable/10

Saw the end of the original Saiki K now. So so good. I want to watch reawakened but I'm scared it's only 6 episodes as I know I'll run out quickly and I want more :(

I imagine it's because 90 volumes sounds like such a mammoth task.

I just started watching Sasami-san@Ganbaranai:

http://anidb.net/anime/8889

I'm very surprised I've never heard of anyone talk about it, I only found out about it through an amv (please no bully). It's basically like Bakemonogatari, the animation quality is slightly lower, but there's much more of it.

I also really like the art style, for example everything looks all watercolourey like it's in a dream in Sasami's room:

Has anyone else seen this?

That new Death Note one shot was quite enjoyable. Almost a spot-on depiction of Donald Trump too, though he was slightly more competent than the real deal.

I have the collected 1-3 and I've still only read about 10 pages :fp:

I now have a manga/anime buddy at work :toot: It's the best.

I remember you saying you really enjoyed the first one, which must be why I added to my Netflix list... which beggers the question why the **** haven't I seen it yet. (I'm assuming it's been up a while as it was already on my added list :? I'm so confused )

For some bizarre reason, almost every time I submit a post in this thread my browser redirects to the first page (of this thread) and loses my post.

WTF?

Pop Team Epic is on Netflix UK. (It's a surreal sketch show thing.)

Grumpy David wrote:One Piece is the greatest manga of all time.

Other awesome manga / anime. (No weird hentai shite).

Berserk
Hunter x Hunter
One Punch Man
Mob Psycho 100
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Code Geass
Death Note
My Hero Academia
Overlord
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan

I think I'm missing a few but the above list is already enough to start with.

Seven Deadly Sins and Kill la Kill are also worth a watch although they do both veer towards the odd bit of pervyness (no nudity or sex scenes though).

Also quite like Rorouni Kenshin and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Oh, and Cowboy Bebop is mandatory viewing.

They've cut out half each of episode, and it's not even consistently the same half.

Does that make it more random than it originally was? I couldn't get into it and gave up on the first ep.

They don't splice it up at all, if that's what you mean. They just trimmed it.

Each episode is split into two halves- an A-side and a B-side. The A-side is the 12min 'regular' episode, if you will, which Netflix has kept.

The B-side is basically the same 12min episode again, but they get in famous Japanese VAs to voice Popuko & Pipimi, whilst tweaking the delivery and punchlines of the original jokes.

Some people don't see the point in watching both halves, as Netflix seems not to, but I personally enjoy seeing who they get in to re-dub the second half. The Cell/Frieza episode stands out in particular.
