Initially I assumed it was because they're just a weird character that's almost like she's from a different show and hard to do, but Pierrot is there, so who even knows?

There's a reason Steins;Gate is still my favourite anime of all time (+ I love the games and the franchise in general). I'm glad you're enjoying it too!

Ed is in it apparantly, they're just not showing the actor in the promotional materials, they're keeping it a secret they said in an interview yesterday!

I'll definitely check out the games after I finish the anime. I love it. Is the first game a retelling of the anime or are they all new stories?

The anime is a retelling of the first game, but there's different endings to discover and they're all cool.

I'm not sure how many of the games were translated into English, but once you've finished the anime there's also Zero to watch which is a sequel of sorts and you also have the movie too which I adored.

There's a bundle at the moment on Steam of all the games in English. It's 64% off coming in at 36.62 rather than £101.77. Sale is until the 29th.

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/2 ... ES_BUNDLE/
Steins;Gate is the original.
ELITE is the original with anime art rather than the normal art.
0 is the sequel.
Linear Bounded Phenogram is a spinoff from the first game - shows stories for different characters.

This bundle is missing https://store.steampowered.com/app/9705 ... s_Embrace/ which is a love comedy spinoff set in the 'Delta' worldline where Okabe made so many changes with the Dmail he ended up in a love comedy essentially. It's really funny so I'd recommend it as well if you like the characters.

All the games minus ELITE have huke's absolutely beautiful art so I can't recommend them enough.

Thanks again Qikz. I will definitely pick up the bundle at some point, if not during this sale. Likelihood is I'll probably wait and play them on the Steam Deck next year. Very interested in My Darling's Embrace as I loved the comedy between Okarin and Kurisu earlier in the series.

And I finally figured out what spirit transformations remind me of: the Wall Titan from Attack on Titan. (Y'know, the exposed skeletal structure muscle fibres.)

Another legend passes:
Golgo 13 Manga Creator Takao Saito Passes Away at 84

Shogakukan announced on Wednesday that Golgo 13 manga creator Takao Saito passed away on September 24 from pancreatic cancer. He was 84.

Saito was born in Wakayama in November 1936. He debuted with the Kūki Danshaku manga in 1955. He also published the Sagashiya hage Taka Tōjō!! manga in 1968 before launching Golgo 13 later that same year.

I read a little Golgo 13 years ago when the scans were utter shite. Maybe now is the time to give it another try in honour of the legendary author.

Looks like Netflix will be airing Blue Period starting next Saturday. I'm really hopeful for a good adaptation as the manga is something very special.

Anyone found an English scanlation of the final Berserk chapter? Can only see the originals in the usual places.

Where are you seeing untranslated manga? I can never bloody find it and it's annoying.

Usually the relevant subreddit on Reddit will post it a few days in advance of the English scanlation. With berserk that was weeks ago. My googling for the scanlation had no success as just kept getting the originals. :x

I'm at around episode 60 of Black Clover and I think it's finally good! As in, there have been some episodes with genuinely good battle animation and the characters are starting to feel not quite so one-note? (Apart from Charmy - Jesus Christ give her some back story where she's starved to death or something.) The villains are still a bit eye-roll-worthy but Asta has become bearable and his comrades are getting some more development. Oh, and Yami is genuinely a Good Character. Just a shame it took ten-odd terrible and forty-odd mediocre episodes to get there (IMHO, natch), but yep: I'm enjoying it now and I'm glad I persevered. :)

When that happens with Steins;Gate I'll let y'all know. Maybe when Mayushi dies in a time-divergent car collision.
