Think I've just seen the biggest WTF moment of JoJo so far.

Doppio imagining the phone ringing and having a conversation with himself.

Genuine lol when he made the ringing noise and picked up a frog like it was a phone.

There's a new samurai anime on Netflix:

Yasuke (stylized as YASUKE) is an original net animation series loosely based on the historical figure of the same name, a warrior of African descent who served under Japanese daimyo Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period of samurai conflict in 16th century Japan.

If it veers that far away from REALITY then how accurately it portrays the period hardly matters.

If you're after otherwise period correct anime then Prime Video has some interesting stuff...

I don't mind the fantasy stuff personally though I would have preferred if they played it straight. Either way FlyLo did the soundtrack so I'll give it a chance.

Luffy's tactics against the biscuit guy

:( I thought I'd be able to take Luffy and Sanji meeting up again. But... nope. Seeing the beating was just as tough to take as the first time.

After taking something like an 8 month break after episode 4 of Double Zeta I spent the last 2 weeks finishing it and strawberry float, while I thought the start was weak it got stronger and stronger as it went along. Typically with Gundam most of my favourite characters ended up dying somehow, but strawberry float I'm used to it at this point.

Char's Counterattack tomorrow, then either Unicorn or F91 (someone suggested I watch F91 first)

Golden Wind finished.

That was excellent throughout but the last year few episodes were something else.

Diavolo/Doppio was a very interesting villain too.

Was good to see Polnareff again but he didn't really deserve to be turned into a tortoise, as weird and entertaining as it was.

Diavolo's infinitely looping deaths was also a little harsh, He definitely deserved to die but that was dark, I guess you don't mess with Giorno.

Would have been nice to see what happened to Trish at the end though.

Polnareff turning into a tortoise is the best possible outcome, because he lived even though he should be dead. He'll also live for a very long time and that's exactly what I want for the best Jobro ever.

One Piece 863: Brook appearing out of nowhere in the derpy Luffy disguise and then destroying the picture is freaking HILARIOUS. Even the use of the hammer tickled all the funny bones 2 frames of pure hilarity. (And the serious and unexpected nature of the set up for it was brilliant too.)

The ending of 5 is definitely abrupt and I would have liked more personally but it's still good

Diavolo's death is super harsh even compared to other JoJo villains, but it's worth noting how to this point he's the only main villain who dies by being outright overpowered by the main protagonist. In the context of part 5's symbolism it's probably meant to be like the ultimate trimuph of Jesus and god over Satan, which is interesting considering how much more violent Giorno is compared to Jesus.

welcome to the "waiting for part 6" train btw, you joined at probably the best possible time
