Not even Jim Carrey as Bon Clay and Eminem as Enel will make this good.

I don't have anything serious to contribute to the (tangentially music related) Eva discussion on the last page, but I would like to post this official rendition of Komm Suesser Tod from the Japan-only N64 game, which for some unfathomable reason uses the same soundfont as Super Mario 64.

Jump in the strawberry floating painting, Mario.

I didn't even know there was an Evangelion N64 game. Lmao that really does sound like it'd fit in Mario 64, especially as like a water level.

Resumed watching MHA, currently on the 'My Villain Academia' arc and jesus, Toga and Shigiraki are even more strawberry floated up than I already thought.

Toga is still somehow oddly cute though

Finished (all 4 episodes of it) Komi Can't Communicate.

I can't think of an anime I laughed out loud at more, and it has heart, too. Comedy editing is top-tier.

Just started watching Jujutsu Kaisen (after finishing the current seasons of MHA and Seven Deadly Sins), two episodes in and I'm already hooked.

One Piece 479 - Daz Bonez and Croc coming to the rescue is so strawberry floating hype. And that's AFTER what Whitebeard has done and said. Amazing. My heart can't take it.

Anyone here with Xbox Game Pass? There's a freebie 70-day Mega Fan trial offer to Crunchyroll available. (Check GP perks section on the console.) It's not available to existing accounts / accounts that have been on that tier before, but just make a new one and it'll let you take the offer up.
Even better news: there's a new Beta Crunchyroll website. Looks a hell of a lot better than the old one, but not had a chance to use it properly yet so dunno if it's *actually* better or not. Its spoiler comment feature now actually works though, so that's one positive. (A negative: no custom avatars )

In my search for another big series now that we've basically caught up with Black Clover, I've started watching Naruto. First episode surprisingly good, second episode surprisingly bad. We shall see. My question for GRcade is, does the anime have any terrible filler arcs like Bleach that I can/should skip?

Also Ironhide seems to be watching all the same thing as me. :slol:

Hearing not very flattering things about the Netflix live action Cowboy Bebop. At best I'm hearing it's just fine. But due to its nature everyone compares it to the anime, and it just can't hold up.

I'm sure we're all very surprised.

Yeah, the Naruto filler is as bad as that which plagued Bleach although it doesn't usually start a season of shite during important moments. There are around 10 filler episodes in the first ~140 episodes of the show but then you get a good 80 or so in a row before Shippuden starts. Shippuden is a little worse as they mixed filler in to the canon episodes which wasn't so bad but eventually moved to large batches of shite later on.

Naruto
Canon - 1-25, 27-96, 98-100, 107-135, 141, 220
Filler - 26, 97, 101-106, 136-140, 142-219

Naruto Shippuden
Filler - 28, 57-71, 91-111, 144-151, 170-171, 176-196, 223-242, 257-260, 271, 279-281, 284-295, 303-320, 347-361, 376-377, 388-390, 394-413, 416-417, 422-423, 427-450, 464-468, 480-483

If you're still enjoying it there is then the Boruto spin-off set years later with a new generation of characters. Early on a large number of episodes are anime original and set before the events of the manga but are considered canon, it is catching up to the monthly manga quite rapidly though so I wouldn't be surprised to see it get a lot of filler quite soon.

I've seen the first 2 episodes and I liked what I saw so far. Yeah it's not the best thing ever and the anime is definitely better but it's still alright!

Cheers boss, that's a good list of episodes to skip! If I ever get to them - I'm progressing very slowly, but episode 3 is also kinda rubbish. :slol: Blokes kissing is not as funny as you think it is, anime.

Also I watched the LittleKuriboh abridged series and it keeps influencing my watching. Like, every time the plonky village theme plays, or every time Kakashi shows up.

Similarly the trope of 'guy accidentally touches girls boobs' isn't that funny.

One of the reasons I can't stand Mineta in MHA.

Mineta is chuffing awful and anybody who says otherwise is deeply wrong.

strawberry floating hate him.

One Piece Summit War arc: I don't think there's been more satisfying moments in One Piece than Newgate's rage and strikes on Sakakuzi.
Something I've thought for a while now: I love how they made Teach a diabolical schemer but a so-so brawler. Would have been so easy just to make him godlike in all aspects.

horikoshi recently made him like bi in the manga which means the only example of lgbt+ representation in MHA is a strawberry floating creep and borderline sex pest
