Oh cool! My first bonus chapter.

Fire Punch - later 20s chapter: Bikini eyepatch lady appearance was pretty cool. And the speak louder bit was well done.

The buildup to that double-page was worth it. Also love how the UFO was a Kappa-fied Millennium Falcon.

The final arc of Kaguya-sama has just begun and I am not ready for the day that it ends. Such a consistently brilliant series.

Obviously your mileage may vary with how dry the tone it is up to that point, but I really would recommend persevering.

I will persevere then!

(for a bit)

I persevered through it all!

Thought the Mountain arc was good and Rui was genuinely horrible as a baddy, like a little Joffrey or Ramsey. Some good fights and moments, too. Then the training stuff afterwards was fun and introducing the Ginyu Force people has added a few more pieces and dynamics to the board.

Whole thing is still a bit slow too many pace-killing flashbacks and internal monologues that explain exactly what you've just seen. And the action feels a bit standard vanilla in its one-vs-one swordsmanship all the time.

And I hate Zenzitsu - I find him very irritating, only once funny, and he basically only detracts from the show without adding anything for me.

Tanjiro's a good lad though and I like his dynamic with Nezuko. And I'm interested in watching Mugen Train now.

Fire Punch chapter 70ish: This has been dealing with themes that feel a little beyond me, but overall I would recommend people read this. There are a lot of ups and downs, imo, but there is definitely much more wtf/good than bad. I like how the book keeps focus on the protag becoming the villain while at the same time being revered; they didn't just bottle it and write it out asap opting to chase easier tropes to depict. Good on them. And Fire Punch throwing his own strawberry floating head at his enemies needs to be seen by more eyes!

Fire Punch is so absolutely strawberry floating perfectly inexplicable. I'm glad I got a sub to Viz purely for it.
I can't put how it makes me feel into words, but hey, don't you love the movies?

I didn't read it for the longest time because the character looked like a grown up version of that fire and ice powers kid from MHA, and so I just assumed it was a spin-off

Black Clover ep161 spoilers

That was unexpectedly dark, half of the Golden Dawn dead in a single attack

Actually felt bad for Bell there when she thought Yuno was dead

One Piece anime, ep 446: *jaw meet ground* That's a hell of a deviation from the manga. Amazing episode.

Finally got around to watching the first episodes of Blue Period and Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2.

A little disappointed at some of the cuts in Blue Period but I guess it was to be expected when cramming ~25 chapters each ~50 pages into 12 episodes. I still very much enjoyed it as the story is great and the manga has been one of the best new series in years.

Kimetsu no Yaiba continues to get a high quality adaptation and it will be nice to re-experience the events of the Mugen Train arc in episodic format. I really can't wait for the Entertainment District arc though.
