Man I can't recommend Akane-banashi enough, these first 22 chapters are easily the highest quality I've seen from a new WSJ series in over a decade. There have been no rushed developments or obvious flailing genre switch and the supporting cast with their various motivations so far... *chefs kiss* Akane herself is a standout, strong-willed and aware of her own strengths and weaknesses and damn is her & the authors love for Rakugo infectious.

OPM - Man. The tournament/connected chapters of Monster King Arc starts out as bad as in the anime :stinky: The centipede encounters especially. The Garro stuff is decent-ish, but the tournament is way too long, and only gets going once the monsters show up. Saitama has returned so hopefully that's the arc turning the corner.

So sad that Ruri Dragon is going into hiatus because of the author suffering from poor health, it has been such a chilled out and wholesome read so far. The WSJ schedule really takes it out of a lot of people - Shueisha really should put everyone on the Oda schedule and rotate in some Jump+ series/one shots to fill slots.
