Up to episode 10 of Demon Slayer already, its just so good.

Really liking the animation too, its all really well animated, the hokusai-esque water effects on Tanjiro's sword attacks are especially brilliant.

I'm glad Ufotable have found a new franchise to pour money and production into since they moved on from Fate. You can really see how both the technology and talent has progressed since then in Demon Slayer; some of the visuals they produce are stunning, and the digital gooseberry fool is never out of place or distracting.

I haven't even really noticed a lot of the CG stuff going on, everything is just so well done.

Just seen the episode with The drum demon that rotates the room and even then the 3D effects don't get too distracting.

Very impressed with this show so far.

Ah yeah that's when the deuteragonists join on. They're fun characters.

These character designs work really well though, that's the best thing about One Piece. The world is so wacky that anything goes and it's fantastic.

I must admit, I'm actually rather impressed.

Every single time I think, "OK, this is the stupidest thing he's ever drawn", Oda immediately responds with "Hold my strawberry floatin' beer."

I just finished watching guilty crown. That was really something; it was clearly executed in exactly the manner that was intended as it was totally technically competent and clearly had a lot of money and staff put behind it, and yet despite this it's an absolute trainwreck. It's like they tried to combine evangelion and gurren lagann with the aesthetic sensibilites of code geass and later final fantasies, and yet in this process neglected to carry over anything that made those productions work.

The unofficial scans are a little sharper and so a bit easier for me to make out just what the strawberry float is going on in the busier scenes! (Though some are still closer to analogue TV noise than art.)

That was great, especially the animation and action sequences. Not overly keen on Zenitsu atm, hopefully he'll stop being such a coward as his character develops

His VA along with the animation makes him such a fun character. Can't even lie I got lowkey emotional when he had that flashback to his training when fighting the spiders.

Just saw that episode today. Probably my favourite bit so far. I think they could have edited his screechy section in the woods a bit better (it went on way too long) but once he confronted that strawberry floating house spider demon... it surpassed the manga. (Though I felt that as soon as I finally got an eyeful of his haori pattern in colour )

It came out in cinemas in Japan on time, I was listening to people rave about it most of January - I just don't know if it's legally available outside of cinemas yet.
