I had high hopes that season four could have fixed some of the pacing issues the Yakuza arc had in the manga but it really didn't and this season which should have easily been the best yet has had glacial pacing and a rearranged order of events which hasn't helped.
I think because I only watch the anime and don't read the manga (of anything)I actually enjoy it more as I have nothing to compare it to or get annoyed by small changes to the plot.
I still enjoy it and it is a good adaptation overall, just a little disappointing after the sheer quality of those first three seasons. The manga went through a period of roughness where Horikoshi was struggling to meet the deadlines each week and you could feel that throughout season four and the first part of season five, but from that point on it was a return to form so it's a bit frustrating to be getting rearranged events and entire filler episodes. I guess next season will be the one with how ridiculously stacked it should be.

petrol on himself to create some light. Absolute madman.
That's one of the best parts of the manga, and it's the thing that cemented it as one of my all time favourites
I can only assume that the
double gut punch of losing Aki and Power and then laughing at Kobeni on her date overshadowed it in my memory.

VANVURVUR!!
Absolute rollercoaster of emotion in those final 20 chapters or so.
