Reminds me of when Toriyama, literally decades after the fact, went, "Oh yeah, Androids #17 and #18 have names."
"Well why didn't you tell us?"
"Nobody asked."

Toriyama also forgets stuff he writes all the time.

He forgot the character Launch existed entirely even though she was a pretty important character in early Dragonball.

Remember when Goku spoke to Gohan and Krillin telepathically during their fight with Vegeta?

Remember when he never did or even mentioned that again?

I'm reminded why I loved Jolyne and Stone Ocean so much the first time around. Damn Netflix dropping 12 episodes at once as it's like crack for my weak-willed JoJo-loving ass.

It's funny how quickly the Wano arc went from one of my favourites in the series to one I just want behind us thanks to the constant focus shifts in the countless different battles taking place. I'm not looking forward to any future battle involving the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and other allies.

Ah yes a fellow appreciator of launch, the original super saiyan
remember when saiyans were born with tails? or all the animal people in the original series who almost never appear by the middle of Z?

Stone Ocean is shaping up to be the most batshit crazy season of JoJo yet and I love it.

I love how bloody insane some of the Stands are.

That zero gravity scene had a bizarre effect on me, kinda felt like I was experience zero-g too, how the hell does that work?

It's shockingly different to my usual taste in anime but I've started watching Komi Can't Communicate and it's brilliant.

Its both hilarious and heartfelt, seems to have an almost Ghibli-like quality to it but can't quite put my finger on it.

Will do, I've watched a fair bit since the early days of this thread.

This is a bot copying and pasting old messages. It is a good idea though lmao.

It was my fault we never got a proper recs list for the OP, sorry

Even though that guy is a weird bot we should still try to do it, it would be a good resource!

Every single show in the UC strawberry floating rocks. 08th Team and Pocket War are two of my favourites. Enjoy!

I've done Thunderbolt which was pretty intense and hard to watch at times, but it rather than end it just seems to stop on a series end reveal for what seems like the setup for the next series, but it's been years and that hasn't happened yet. I've started War in the Pocket which is quite a step back in time in terms of production and certainly after the first 2 episodes seems to be built on the "strawberry floating stupid kid does strawberry floating stupid things but absolute blind luck and ridiculous coincidence gets them through" plot arc type which i'm not a huge fan of, but the late-war Zeon mobile suits like the Kampfer and Gelgoog Jager are pretty damn cool.

What I feel is the only unique rec I can bring to the table:

The Fable - Titular savant hitman is ordered to lay low for a year with his handler. They go live elsewhere and try to lead normal lives while being looked out for by a friendly Yakuza group. Hilarity ensues. It's ingoing and available via Mangadex. Get on it yo.

I thought the JoJo fans may enjoy this. (If you aren't aware, SugarPunch Design Works / ABI are excellent when it comes to combat game critique.)

Komi Can't Communicate is legit brilliant, which is something of a surprise for me given that my usual intolerance of 'slice of life' anime would have me running for the hills.

Seen all the currently available episodes on Netflix and can't wait for next weeks episode.

I'm slowly turning into Karl/Qikz aren't I?

Plus, Komi is basically a cat in human form

Does Komi avoid the creepiness it feels like it's going to wave proudly like a pennant?

I haven't seen the anime yet but I didn't think the manga was creepy at all.

I do have a fairly high tolerance for anime weirdness though.

Najimi is a little bit creepy at times with some of their comments but they're mostly aimed at Tadano to wind him up in front of Komi.
