God damn, the Kaguya-sama: Love is War anime is just perfect.

It needs better subtitles, mind. :x

Watched the first couple of episodes of Aggretsuko today at my friend's. Pretty funny stuff and never a dull moment, so will surely watch the rest of it in due time. And I guess check out series 2 when it's out if I like the first series enough.

Happy to see the subtitles were fixed for the second episode of Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Hilarious episode yet again and the perfect way to finish off a week of some top class anime.

I'm a little bit in love with Kaguya's VA.

Aw, that site's super cute.

Here's what I would look like if I had been correctly born as a cute 2D anime catgirl instead of as a grotesque 3D pig monster.

Also, you guys should try reading Shishunki Renaissance David-Kun. It's pretty funny...

I mentioned reading that a couple of pages ago. The art references are great and it's just straight up bonkers.

With Saiki Kusuo having ended this really fills the void in Jump.

Found Kemono Friends 2 E01 a bit disappointing.

Why is it a reboot? And given it's a reboot, why is the formula so similar? Imitating Tatsuki's story and Yaoyorozu's style without adding anything to either makes the show feel very hollow.

It's not terrible - the hooks (What happened to the sandstar? Who is this new girl?) are fine, and Serval is still likeable - but given the fanbase are already mad at them for firing the old studio, they could have at least taken a risk and made something fresh and different. At least then something would have came of that decision. Whatever they do in this style, it'll always feel like the old crew could have done it better.

I will watch it because I love the franchise, but, eh...

I love this Mangadex site so much, I've come across so many old manga I started years ago and never finished as I thought the translations just stalled. Makes me feel nostalgic.

I recently started watching the first anime of my life, One Punch Man, and... It's properly exceptional. I think the writing's brilliant, it's tightly plotted and the animation and fights are genuinely exciting.

I've no idea how well it's regarded in general, I'm guessing pretty well, but it's one of my favourite things I've watched in a long time.

What I want to ask is, are there any others like it, or any anime which is generally regarded as being the best of the best? Talking like the anime equivalent of The Wire or the Sopranos.

I love One Punch Man.

There'll be people here with more knowledge on anime, but Mob Psycho 100 is awesome, I believe the manga is done by the same guy that does OPM.

One Punch Man is amazing.

When I think of super good shows, Ping Pong the Animation and Parasyte come to mind. And the show I maybe regard above them and all other anime I've watched is Hunter x Hunter (2011), but it's rather long and a lot of people complain about its pacing sometimes. The other two are a lot more digestible.

Oh and Psycho-Pass.

Yeah the manga is written by ONE.

Mob Psycho is basically OPM with a better story.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is probably the best anime I've ever seen. Ignore the philistines that say it doesn't count because it was made in the US. It's got a great story, pacing, action, and animation, and you can probably watch it on Netflix. :capnscotty:

It's also pretty funny in some parts...
