I did like Hamon, but it doesn't really serve any purpose after Part 3 because there aren't any more vampires.. Plus the healing properties are basically just a Get Out of Jail Free card, and any of the other wacky gooseberry fool it was used for has just been replaced by Stand powers.

I think the problem is that it was such an abrupt change, and although Hamon wasn't exactly the most well defined ability, it was a hell of a lot clearer than early Stands where they could just do whatever the strawberry float for whatever reason.

Once they start rather specifically being "This Stand does this one thing and you'd better learn how to make it work" is when I feel they come into their own.

Also in part 7 you get the spin, which is described as being basically Hamon except using momentum instead of breathing. Which is weird, but adds an interesting layer.

JoJo's BizAd - Stardust Crusaders (hotel ep): the heroes were checking into a hotel and there were lots of people about the place, all within close vicinity to one another, just going about their business. Couldn't help but think Ah, this scene would be very different if it were made today  :fp:

I keep getting targeted Facebook ads for One Piece streaming on Crunchyroll.

The clip they decided to use to try to bring in new customers to the series? A major character's strawberry floating death scene.

Been rewatching Evangelion. Not watched it in nearly 20 years and I'd forgotten just how badly it flies off a cliff towards the end.

Pretentious wank.

The way Mirio fought on and protected Eri for like 10 minutes without a quirk... Absolute beast and bestest of boys.

Overhaul really is an irradeemable piece of gooseberry fool.

JoJo Stardust Crusaders: They beat the old lady and yet there's been no alteration to the format: the journey continues and they fight Stand users despite the cream of the crop already having been dispatched. Hopefully this next ep, which has them meet Avdol's dad will change things up a bit.

Thought his Quirk would be fairly useless in a fight when he was first introduced but that scene alone proves he's actually pretty awesome.

Early Part III is a bit hit-and-miss but you're getting to the good stuff now.

TSK TSK TSK! Poor Cameo.

JoJo Stardust Crusaders (ep 38 & 39): Iggy vs Pet Shop is the best fight yet. Though he still feels somewhat wasted potential.

And done. That was great. Was expecting the Dio fight to be so-so but it was actually really good. Up there with the best of 'em. Really glad Netflix added the show.

The Vanilla Ice fight to DIO showdown was the perfect rollercoaster ride of emotions. And after all that knife throwing, doughnut making and pavement laying you have just got to love Joseph's final bit of bullshit.

I assume you'll be waiting for Netflix to add more before moving on to Diamond is Unbreakable.

Balls to that! Will watch 'em via Crunchyroll.

Oh god, yeah, penultimate fight was great (made up for the one before ) and had many hits to the feels.

I had a feeling the Vanilla Ice battle might hit you in the feels after the love for Avdol's return and Iggy Vs. Pet Shop.

Polnareff feeling Iggy die through his sand and realising he's lost another friend hurts every damn time.

Glad to hear you'll be continuing on your bizarre adventure via Crunchyroll.
