Yeah, though it also received physical volume releases. It finished at the end of 2017 or start of 2018 iirc and then Reigen got a short spinoff which ended a couple of months ago.

I'd pick it up around 3/4 the way through chapter 91 as some scenes from that chapter and the following weren't adapted in the anime. Only other thing I can think of which wasn't shown in the anime was the fact that Teruki trained so hard he is able to use multiple powers simultaneously unlike most other Espers - it made for a great battle with the chump who wrecked his apartment.

So do they ever actually fight an opponent who has any kind of advantage over them?

I feel like How not to Summon a Demon Lord was better in this regard because at least there they explained why everyone in the world was so weak, there was no revival magic, and so mages just focused on summoning monsters rather than more dangerous actual combat.

The manga was pretty hit-and-miss at this point too though I remember enjoying it more than I am with the anime. Annoyingly, there are some decent bits of animation every now and then but it's immediately followed up by blurry shite.

If you want to jump into the superior manga, chapter 75 is where to carry on from the latest episode.

I did wonder how it compared to the manga. I also wonder just what made One alter what had been a great formula up to and including The Dominator of the Universe arc.

The thing with One Punch Man is that the anime is based on Murata's redrawn version of ONE's original webcomic. The tournament arc and most of season 2 so far doesn't occur in the original version, instead it was added by Murata using ONE's storboards to flesh out Garou, the Monster Association and other heroes and was mostly successful. I mention that the manga was hit-and-miss at this point of the tournament, but there was an emotional weight to Suiryu's struggle against Gouketsu, Bakuzan and the other martial artists who chose monsterisation (who also had actual fights in the manga) which just wasn't there in the anime. OPM S2 is somehow managing to not only fail in terms of animation quality but also in the basic storytelling which is a massive shame.

This was the weakest aspect so far and made its inclusion really bizarre. Would have been better to concentrate on Sytama in the tournament and Garou+heroes outside. Looping through Saitama, Garou, Suiryu and Heroes but giving none of them any time was just... unsatisfying and tedious.

I've read them all and no one seems to come close. I think there's a few level 60 characters who think they are God tier and haven't yet come across Ainz at level 100.

I assume it'll either have a very clever level 60 with the right tactics to actually be a threat or there will be another human player with max stats too. Or just like OPM and MP100, overpowering main character vs everyone else.

That doesn't really sound like fun reading to me, at least Saitama in OPM is a good guy, Ainz doesn't give a gooseberry fool about anyone outside Nazarik.

Evangelion hits Netflix on Friday.

There's a new English dub with an all new cast (even though Funimation got most of the original cast back for the Rebuild dubs, but they aren't dubbing the Netflix series), though there's no info yet on who the new cast are.

Asuka was about as close to normal as any of the Eva characters got.

So I just watched ep 1 of the new dub.

I can't say it's terrible, but I can't really call it good either. Most of the Voice Actors are 'Ok' at best, though Shinji's definitely doesn't fit at all.
Whilst most of the time the quality hovers around ok, at times it almost sounded like a fan dub, especially Misato introducing Shinji to Ritsuko as "he's the third children" rather than third child.
The original dub was, so far, absolutely better.

Also the ending theme has been changed apparently because Netflix wouldn't pay for the rights to Fly me to the Moon.

I don't know what it is about Kakekakekakekakekakekakegurui (Kakegurui) but I just find it so bingeable. (It's probably the fact that I love films centred around gambling - though I'm *very* picky!) I'm glad s2 has the dubbed voices.
