Only 13 chapters long so far, nice art, interesting Arabian Isekai setting, but WTF man the MC makes Yuki Rito from ToLove Ru look like a total Chad!

After defeating some villain that was turning people to stone they literally just tell him "hey stop doing that" even though he doesn't show any remorse whatsoever!

Nekomimi huh. I'm in.

God damn, Kaguya-sama just cemented its status as AOTY with that perfectly adapted Shoujo manga episode.

One Piece Drum Island arc: started a bit all over the place (too many characters and things going) and so I wasn't keen on it. But the more I read the better it's gotten, and I'm surprised just how much given the fact the story has now shifted to a flashback which doesn't involve the main cast but it's still kept me more than interested. Cracking writing, that.

We're not long past that arc in the anime. It's funny how many huge VAs make appearances in this. We sat racking our brains over the voices of Dr. Kureha and Chopper, only to realise that they were Goku and Pikachu!

Chopper's backstory brought us to tears...

Yeah, Chopper's story hit me in the feels so many times.

Funny how things work out: in both my current choice of manga (One Piece, naturally) and anime (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) I am in an arc involving a shapeshifting enemy and it's killed my enjoyment of both to a certain degree; the drama caused by the uncertainty the shapeshifter introduces feels really cheap.

I liked him when he met the crew on the boat, and he's a great heel when pretending to be the king, so yeah, he's not all bad. I just don't like that power. Fullstop.

Not sure whether the show is any good, but the art on Dorohedoro (Netflix) (the light cross-hatching and fine lines when they're depicting the sorcerers) it's like Moebius / Heavy Metal Magazine brought to animated life.

Not completed first ep of that so cannot recommend it. But what I have seen has been good. Stand out is the world building and how they tell the story of the two factions in a balanced way. But like I say, not yet completed first ep so that could change.

What I can recommend after seeing 4 eps: Ultramarine Magmell (It's on Netflix, as well.)

One Piece: Was really enjoying the whole Skypiea Arcbut then it just seemed to get in a rush and they're there in a blink of an eye. Was expecting something else to happen when they made it out to sea.

I grabbed this when we were in Japan and our bags got lost by our Russian airline (shocker). Wore it poser style having yet to read the scene in question - was really happy when I got to this moment in the series.
