One Piece: What happened to that guy on the train, during the journey to Einies Lobby. There was one officer who really cared about the soldiers below him, but he ended up in the sea. Do we ever see him again? He was really gaunt looking. I'm past that arc now. Just wondering if we see him again.

Nero? Still don't think we've seen him since then.

T Bone. (Forgot the name. Eventually found it thanks to googling Nero.)

This guy:

He seemed to be the only one to actually give a damn about justice for the sake of it (and cared about his soldiers), as opposed to the others who sought it only as a means of gaining something else. Would be sad if nothing else is shown of him.

Another thought I had comes to mind after seeing Zolo there: does that arc contain foreshadowing of Zolo becoming a captain in his own right? There's a couple of occasions where, after an amazing display of his abilities, people, (namely Franky's crew, I think) are amazed he's not in charge of his own ship.

Zolo. Zoro. :capnscotty:

T Bone does appear later in the manga.

One Piece 448 - Welp. This floating monster island story just went from funny filler, to possibly really interesting.

That arc is probably my favourite part of One Piece.

When I started Oshi no Ko I did not expect to see an emotionally damaged young mother stabbed to death in front of her infant children right when she came to terms with expressing her love. :dread:

One Piece (Thriller Bark arc): At the end of a chapter, Viz/Shonen Jump Online includes a shot of the cover of the related tankobon. The one for Thriller Bark gives away something spoilery :x

EDIT: Okay they spoiled it a bit but that ending was brutal  (The poor giant zombie monster  ) and so I kind of give 'em a pass on the cover.

EDIT: This is so unfair

Well, Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 2 has just concluded and it somehow managed to be better than the first in every conceivable way. Hopefully season 3 isn't too far off as there are so many things I want to see animated and enhanced with the stellar voice work.

One Piece: I'm about 5 chapters off 500. A chapter or two before it I thought to myself How much longer is this going to stay entertaining? And then came the chapter with reveal of just who it was that was after the mermaid

IS there any other manga apps like the shonen jump one, where you pay a fee and get to read all the gooseberry fool?

I have no idea how this fares compared to other romantic comedy drama anime series, but I finished both seasons of this and overall I loved it.

I thought series 2 was significantly worse as it had a few meandering plot threads and sort of seemed to just repeat the same kind of perils and tensions of series 1, sometimes losing ground they had already gained between characters for arbitrary drama. And some of the Hidaka love triangle stuff felt a little forced (and Hidaka less sympathetic), but the ending was lovely and satisfying and overall for some reason I was very engrossed in Ono and Haruo getting a happy ever after, warmed to them a lot as a couple and found their communication-via-fandom sweet and relatable.

But the best thing about series 1 was the end credits song and the deployment of it which hit me in the feels so. many. times. Series 2's one wasn't the same :(

Overall a sweet and involving show I was glad I watched!

Now making my way through Death Note for the first time.

How I feel about Hidaka's role always depends on how my love life is doing :slol: After HSG I moved on to Case Closed. Holy gooseberry fool at how many episodes that has and how many Netflix bothered to put up  They didn't even put a dent in it. Something else to start watching via Crunchroll. (They don't have anywhere near all the episodes, either!)
