What?

I like Sailor Moon but I'm not some kind of mega fan. It was basically my first introduction to anime so I have a nostalgic soft spot for it.
The main thing that hits me about the Sailor Moon manga is how much of it I lost due to water damage.

Yeah, I just assumed you'd be more than a passing fan of it.

Gonna read chapter 600 of One Piece at some point today, but then I'll move on to something else for a bit. Not tired of it, just want an even bigger backlog :P

I just got the scans from some random fansite, so a lot of it is down to the poor translation, but even beyond that, the pacing is terrible, and she can't draw a fight scene for toffee! Every time a villain revealed themselves, they were dead within five panels! I had to keep skipping back two or three pages at a time to understand what the strawberry float was supposed to be going on! :slol:

The art is nice, at least. The stock for floral screentones must have gone through the strawberry floating roof!

Well the monsters getting killed off quickly was kind of the idea, it was a very 'monster of the week' kind of thing in the beginning with a big bad pulling strings behind the scenes.

It's a year to the day since the Kyoto Animation arson attack :(

Rest in peace to the 36 souls who lost their lives and condolences to their family and friends and all others left affected by the fire.

Oh yeah, I get the 'monster of the week' thing, I just found it funny how quickly and easily they were dispatched. You'd think the four generals under this arc's big bad would have a bit more ceremony to their complete obliteration. :slol:

Finally got into The Seven Deadly Sins. I really hope they tone down the groping, etc :dread: And I feel as though my anime/manga credentials have gone up a level as it's also the first show where I finally encountered my first dodgy relationship trope. Namely the one where an adult is into an underage girl only she's not because she only looks it but is actually an ancient mystical being :dread: Though I guess Elizabeth's interest in Meliodas is also dodgy :dread: ...WHY THE strawberry float AM I EVEN WATCHING THIS?! :slol:

Current state of One Piece plan: tatters. I'm on 627. Plan is in tatters and I am a blubbering wreck

I just read Part 1 of Parasyte on InkyPen, which was great!

But InkyPen don't have the further volumes :(

Really lovely reading manga on the big screen, though.

Spoilers for fairly late episodes

Meliodas isn't actually an adult in demon years and looks like an early teens human which is partly why Elizabeth is attracted to him, as well as the hinted at possibility that she is a reincarnation of his dead girlfriend.

There's similar weirdness with Diane and Kings relationship, they're both over a thousand years old but are still minors in their respective races (edit: apparently Diane is at least 750 and King is 1300 years old).

And don't forget Ban and Kings sister who looks about 8 being in a relationship, the whole show has some fairly dodgy relationship themes going on.

Fish-Man Island Arc over. Loved it. Obviously the arc was set up just to show the crew's new found powers off. So while the Hody and co never felt a true threat to the crew, their seething malice and hatred toward humans and other fish folk, and the resulting drama, made up for it.

And now I am going to try and get into Spy x Family and give One Piece a little break :slol: (Tried to get into SxF before but found it slow. Will look for something else if it carries on like that.)

If someone remade it and removed all the questionable stuff I would happily watch it again. I'm currently on the 4 extra eps after the first season is done with. Don't think I'll carry on with the rest.

I really enjoyed SDS. The characters work really well together and the story gets super interesting.

It's really cheesy and a bit on the slow side, but I am enjoying Assassination Classroom.
