Seeing some of the discourse around this game genuinely just turns me off really wanting to watch other perspectives on it. I have a few spoiler cast I wanna watch, but might leave it there.

The threads on ResetEra are genuinely appalling.

I avoid that place like the plague ngl. I feel like people are now going out of their way to just rip this apart.

Oh I didn't mention my final size. The folder ended up being just about 3GBs LOL. Prob would have hit 4 if I didn't have to force myself to stop using it too much near the end >,>

My minds still a blur. Still too early to say, but I think I prefer the first game as a more focused experience. But I only played that game once on release never touched it again. Part 2 seems better suited for replayability tho. There's so much I feel like I missed out on in terms of gameplay since I went mostly stealth.

Are you going to post some of your best ones up?

I stopped after leaving Jackson because I was messing too long on getting that perfect shot. God helps me when GOT unlocks on Friday.

GoT's photo mode might actually consume me, I'm kinda scared lol.

As with TLOU2, I'll need to sift through my folder and pick out ones I really like, but it's gonna take a while considering its sheer size. Are they any good sites that let you upload large folders of pics?

Not that I know of. I usually use Twitter to share one or two at a time.

I usually stay away from hosting sites as they like to delete them after a time.

I was thinking Flickr might be good but dunno if they have strict caps on how much you can upload. Don't really mind if they disappear either.

Imgur won't delete your old pictures, you have to have an account with them to upload now

You don't need an account to upload to imgur, you can hit "new post" while logged out

I decided to be a mad man and upload every photo onto Flickr since their free account is pretty generous with a 1k cap.

Enjoy for anyone curious >,> Looking back through these, I feel like I could could have taken so much more. But realised I needed to constrain myself otherwise I'd never finish. Which is why you can see how the last few acts of the game don't have nearly as many photos taken compared to the first. Tho I plan to do another playthrough of the game some time and might take more lol.

Half way point of Survivor+ play through now, the more I play the more I side with the harsher criticisms of the story, there’s not really anything to take from a second run (at least up to this point) and Ellie’s actions just kind of annoy me more. It seems like such a missed an opportunity to tell an interesting story in this world, there are so many places you could have focussed some attention on and to get this just seems like the less interesting choice won out every time.

I don’t think there’s much spoilery here but just in case...

Well I thought the Seraphites were the most interesting part of this game so that’d be cool to find out more about them. A more in depth look at what happened to the Fireflies would have been really interesting, I know you kind of get the impression there weren’t many left and they split apart but following a group trying to keep things going would have given more context on what they were all about and provided a new light on the first game. As cool as all the locations in Seattle were the fact the whole game is there is probably the biggest downer for me, another cross country trip taking in wildly different landscapes and testing you in different scenarios I think would have facilitated a different but much more satisfying story, maybe some reason to have to travel up to Canada or down through Mexico. Also one thing I was always interested in after the first game was the international reaction to the outbreak. It would have been difficult given the intimate atmosphere of the first game but some excuse to see different countries reaction or more of a global attempt at fighting back against the pandemic I reckon would be awesome.

They may be saving that for the TV series.
I'd find it hard to accept that Elly is the only person on Earth who's immune or that the only doctors with the ability to do anything with the immune are in the US.

Luton.
It's what everyone wanted.

Just finished. Absolutely loved it.

First thoughts are that I really enjoyed the story but even if you hate it this is still a fantastic playing videogame that works as both 3rd person action and horror. I was waiting for the shocking moments that some of the gaming press used to discredit the game and there really wasn't anything that bad.

Isn't that basically what we get though, with Abby and Owen etc?

TLoU 2 and 3 spoilers : Ellie will sacrifice herself for the greater good after Abby and or Lev bring news of another doctor who can do the procedure to her. Twist: She's a clicker surgeon. Possibly from Luton.

Do you not think replaying the game adds a load of context to events/characters/dialogue that you weren't aware of first time round? It certainly has for me.

By my rough reckoning about 20-25% of the game is not in Seattle. In fact checking the stage breakdown in chapter select it's 26:12 Seattle-not Seattle but admittedly the not Seattle stages tend to be shorter ;)

Aye. It was the actual ground zero.
