Well I thought the Seraphites were the most interesting part of this game so that’d be cool to find out more about them. A more in depth look at what happened to the Fireflies would have been really interesting, I know you kind of get the impression there weren’t many left and they split apart but following a group trying to keep things going would have given more context on what they were all about and provided a new light on the first game.

Isn't that basically what we get though, with Abby and Owen etc?

Not really, other than the motivation for the start of the game it's not really a factor. What the other group is up to that you get a glimpse into at the very end is more what I would have been interested in.

We are both talking about the radio conversation near the end of the game right?

Do you not think replaying the game adds a load of context to events/characters/dialogue that you weren't aware of first time round? It certainly has for me.

Can't think of another linear story based game off the top of my head that has given me more from a second play-through. I was constantly surprised and impressed with how much detail you can find in Ellie's sections foreshadowing moments you'll be experiencing first hand later. It just all adds up to make things feel very connected. Also surprised at the amount of optional conversations/narrative scenes I missed first time despite a 35 hour playtime.

Does anybody think that the sequel will get a part 3? Naughty Dog are split into two groups so they can still work on a new ip and Sony will be pressuring them for a third part. I'd love to see a part 3 with new characters but set in a different country. Imagine it in Britain with all the different accents and very few guns. The bottles in Scotland would be bottles of Buckfast lol.

Be aware that I'm only on Abby day 3 so I don't know if it's already set up for a sequel.

Or a prequel with Joel a protagonist and an antagonist.

It'd be really weird to have a sequel with the same characters and then a third go somewhere completely different.

God, I've just been trying to play Far Cry 5 since it was on sale, other games just seem so janky compared to LOU2.

Enemies just run straight at you and stand in the open with their guns. The story starts off serious but then quickly devolves into GTA mode where most of the time everything has a punchline, then all of a sudden something serious will happen and it'll expect you to care, apart from the game gives you absolutely no reason to care for any of the characters or NPCs and does nothing to make them feel like real people, just charactures.

More games need to have characters just having normal conversations like this one does, it adds so much.

Just done the museum bit again. God I love that section so much. It's so beautifully done. Completely missed the face pulling in the mirror bit first time round.

I missed putting the hat on Joel, which was frustrating because (as happened a couple of times throughout the game for interactions in the environment) I didn't trigger a prompt to appear for whatever reason when the game should have given me one. After putting the hat on the triceratops I tried getting it back but no prompt appeared, so I figured that was it done. Then I watched my girlfriend do the same bit and she did get the prompt to get the hat back :(

Of course that one had to be a trophy too, so there goes my FOMO! A missing trophy even though I know I have seen that interaction

You'd have likely played it again anyway and so now, when you do replay it, you'll have something extra to look forward to doing.

I’m back at the final stretch of the game on my second play through.

It’s just a pleasure to play, the combats fun but not to difficult to grasp, and on a second play it’s good to be more creative & try different things against enemies.

Loving my second playthrough. Taking my time. Taking lots of photos. Really enjoying different approaches to combat situations and mixing it up.

Playing this now like i'm Ellies documentary maker or personal photographer. So much to admire on a more relaxed and leisurely playthrough.

Also has anyone seen some of the fan art and concept artists stuff doing the rounds out for the game. Some of it is stunning. I'll post some images and links.

Im getting my metal work guy to make me something.

So the one I'm getting made is the silhouettes one with the guitar with the firefly and moth insignias.
I've sent the image with some notes to my guy.
It'll be a metal sheet with layers cut out for the silhouettes and welded or glued on. Then he'll make a fret board with the insignias cut out and attached
It'll have pegs and strings too so will be interactive.

Could look really nice.
