The only save you should keep is the game completion. Don’t overwrite that.

When loading it, save it in another slot. This way your full chapter selection should be preserved in the game completion save. Overwrite it, you’ll lose all the chapters after the chapter you’ve just loaded up.

So always save on a new game slot. Keep the first slot for the game completion file only.

So yeah, it's far worse than it should be

From a single completed save you should be able to use the chapter select as you like, save at any point as a "continue", but be able to quit back to the (completed) menu and still select any other chapter as you like. Needing to juggle multiple saves is just needlessly confusing, especially if all you want to do is jump through the chapters to find the collectibles you missed!

Yeah it should be like that.

But unfortunately, it is what it is. It’s always like that for most Naughty Dogs games, and I’m surprised that they didn’t fix it.

Well, done and Platinum got.

Pain in the arse but not overly troubling to deal with

Started my second playthrough this morning and somehow that bit hit me much harder than it did the first time around. Jesus.

Going to be taking my time with this one and searching every little nook. Went for survival difficulty this time for the added tension that brings.

I don't remember who said that the story does nothing to redeem Manny as a character but I'm replaying the second half now and they were talking absolute toss. Manny is awesome. All the time you're with him, he goes out of his way to make sure people in his group are doing okay and he puts everyone else's needs before his. He's a loyal friend.

Second run is destroying me. Even the bit where Mel calls Abbie a "piece of gooseberry fool" made my throat tighten and eyes well up

My wife hasn't played it at all yet and is still avoiding spoilers but she walked in on Manny getting shot this morning and I feel so guilty :fp:

Just started this. Absolutely loving it so far-about 3 hours in and just arrived to Seattle.

One thing I'm confused about is, did they remove the dance/kiss scene from the game that they showed in trailers? Or does it come in later as a flashback? Haven't accidentally skipped a cutscene have I?!

You've not missed it, I remember thinking the same, thought maybe they'd made the whole scene just for E3 for some reason.

So glad I never watched trailers otherwise that would have definitely been stressing me out too

Another hour or two on this and I'm totally engrossed.

The environment design is superb and I love how natural they've made progress feel, especially all the dialogue and little moments with Dina. Masterfully crafted so far, hope it continues. The only thing I really knew about the story beforehand, other than it being divisive, was what happened in tbe intro so I'm interested to see where it goes.

This game is blowing me away.

Finished work at 6pm today and went straight to PS4 and only just put it down, with a quick break for pizza in the middle.

I just began Abby Day 3 and am showing 19 hours on the clock. Am I approaching the end?

I would say you have a few hours left to go. 7 or 8 perhaps?

Wow, more than I expected. Figured I was on the home straight.

Cheers KF.

I'm surprised you're not fatigued by the game.

I had expected the game to finish when you expect it to finish and be roughly as long as the first game, so the entire second half of the game was such a chore to me.

I enjoyed it I just felt it was paced very poorly. It was like getting to the end of a film and them making you watch another film.

I didn't immediately like the change of direction at the start of the second half but it has really grown on me. I actually think a lot of the second half has been better designed than the first half.
