£80

I didn't think it was possible but Sony have managed to top Nintendo in terms of how much a company can take the piss with the way it handles regurgitating it's back catalogue over and over

I really hope there's a huge negative reaction to that price.

The more I think about the less justifiable it is.

Definitely taking the piss, I hope this pricing bites them in the arse soon and we go back to PS4 game prices. As I've said before, it's possible the new PS plus could have a positive effect on game prices; if people know first party titles will come to it after a year or so, we should see prices drop faster. HFW is already down to about £40 brand new. I'm really going to try to hold out and not buy any new games, GoWR is going to be a struggle though.

It's not just that it's £80. It's £80 and all you're getting over the already overpriced base edition is... early unlocks! :fp: It's a digital game and so there's not a lot they can include that'd justify that sort of money. Digital art? Soundtrack? Maybe they need to think about offering physical items with digital purchases? A cool thing WoW does is cross-game cosmetics. So you buy a collector's edition of WoW but included in that is cosmetics for Diablo or something. Though that's kind of getting away from the point. £80?! Crazy.

£80 is a very high price, I imagine a lot of people who are fans of the series will happily pay it though.

Buying the digital-only PS5 is one of the worst decisions you could have made as Sony are doing you no favours.

They just seem to be taking titles that require the least amount of work for the maximum amount of profit.

Returnal I don't think I've seen below £50 either.

Best thing you can do now it seems is just have a friend or relative who also has PS5 and split the cost of games. That said it's been 2 years and so far the only thing that's been remotely hard to hold off on is Returnal. There's just not been any other PS5 exclusives I've been interested in.

PS +++ will be artificially more valuable due to games such as Returnal being on the service and never getting a significant digital price drop. Sony are geniuses.

 . I was thinking just that... "Maybe Returnal and other games will become cheaper to buy once they're included in the new PS Plus?"... I was so naive  .

Edit: I still want to get this TLOU Remaster Remaster, although I will be so furious with myself if I do  :x .

Prices on the PSN store are insane and always have been I've found. Years old games still selling at the highest RRP.

Me too. I will almost certainly crumble on the basis of dual sense implementation or some such nonsense.

I bought mine at £39.99, but now I will sell soon once when PS++ becomes available.

Returnal has been £39.99 at Amazon a few times, I've got an alert on it. It's never quite gone low enough for me to bite though!

Smyths had it for £30, or 35 not long ago.

Think I might go for Extra, when it comes here, I'll get that and a few other games for a decent price.

I think the point being made was that it had not been made cheaper on the psn store for digital console owners…
