Good call, Kj! I always allow my mind to run wild where the Wii U is concerned 8-) .

Continuing the journey, I left that first stable and rode my dappled horse in search of Kakariko Village. I met Impa there and gained an orb from a nearby shrine, enabling me to gain an additional heart! Really enjoying getting back into this :-).

I did, Orange! He did a funky dance and I expanded my weaponry and shield inventory spaces :toot: .

Oh how many times you will go back my to him when you're piled high with weapons that you can't justify dropping and the worries about weapon degradation fall away.

Finished this again for about the tenth time. It’s a bit strawberry floating good like.

On 720 or so Koroks and around 60 Shrines so will probably go for the 100% completion.

Want to get back into this after a while away, but I'm in a bit of a bind: all my shields have been broken. Are there any easy ones to find that are halfway decent, that always spawn in the same place?

Depends where you are in the game, Hyrule Castle is always an option. Grant in Tarry Town to buy a Hylian Shield. Failing that I’d maybe go to the Lizalfos camp on the route up to Zoras Domain.

I’m up to 88% on my play-through and just purchased the DLC. The compendium is going to be the real bugger to get to 100%.

I'd head to zora's mountain/domain too. I still use the steel lizalfos shields that show up later in the game with high Defense.

Don’t combat shrines re-spawn with each blood moon as well? Or am I just imagining that? If so good way to get the higher level guardian shields from the major tests of strength ones.

Shield surfing is fun but largely pointless when the paraglider exists.

Guardians are too easy to even need to bother parrying

Some progressively spoilery hints:

Most people will find it late game -> probably after beating all of the divine beasts -> somewhere in Hyrule Castle
