What the hell is even happening. It looks like at times they change to a weapon, but then change to a different one before using it.

I can only think it's to do with cancelling cooldowns on certain actions, like how you can do multiple parries in a row if you switch out your shield between each one:

Returned to this over the weekend after a long time away and have been really enjoying the game world again. I clocked up 70 hours when I first got my Switch but for some reason or another drifted away from it. I don't think I actually did all that much first time round, so I'm determined to stick at it this time and see what the game has to offer - I've even started doing some of the quests :slol:

Managed to sneak into the main castle and got quite near the top but was stopped in my tracks by this giant Lynel that completely owned me - I'm clearly not ready for that sort of challenge so will just be spending my time finding all of the shrines and korok seeds, as well getting all the giant fairies discovered to improve all my kit. Then I'll be ready :datass:

I was a bit "meh" about the game previously but I can see now why the game is as hyped as it is, it really is quite magical

I've gone back to this after a long break. I'd forgotten how good it is, such a well made and consistent world. Plus is plays really well with the pro controller.

The pro controller is pretty great but it sucks not having gyro controls for the bow.

The Pro does have the gyro controls though?

Nope, as disappointing as it is, it's not the ultimate replacement for the dinnerplate/game gear HD that is the Wii U controller (which I like btw).

Edit: which just revealed this to me, hidden support in Splatoon's split screen multiplayer for Pro Controller + Wii Remote Motion Plus stuck together, which is strawberry floating brilliant

But it really does have gyro controls, those specific Shrine puzzles were annoying enough to remember!

It does on a Switch, the Wii U pro controller doesn’t have Gyro, because Nintendo.

Ah guess we're talking cross purposes here in terms of Switch Vs Wii U Pro controllers!

We must be, this gave me false hope I was wrong :(

Edit: whoops, I forgot the switch even called it a "pro controller", as I was just thinking of the dock for the two wiimote style controllers that's essentially a handle.

Ah right ok, yeah. That's a bit daft.

I don’t think this will be out until the end of next year as we have remasters of oot, mm and skyward sword to be released.

They even ported the controller name!

Went back to this last week and the first shrine I got was one of these bastards :dread:

Still don't know what the issue was with the gyro shrines, they were far from the worst

There was only a couple too. I'm on the last divine beast now, hope to start the DLC after beating it.

Switch or WiiU? I played mostly handheld on Switch and don't recall having any major issues with them
