I wasn't going to spoil that surprise!

Only joking, I'd completely forgotten about the bike you get!

Anyway, I've got 3 shrines left to do in the Hebra region, love just walking round this region in the snow :)

This Master of the Wind shrine puzzle seems to be another one of those puzzles that you can only do in their very specific way. Drop out of the breeze onto the switch, and NOTHING HAPPENS. You have to touch the switch with your paraglider still out :dread:

Even if you could just drop onto it (after floating through the path of wind from beginning to end, of course) (which I think the game should allow), it would still be a puzzle with a very specific solution.

Thunderblight Ganon :dread: These bosses are so uninspired. I'm terrible at the dodge/flurry rush thing so it absolutely mullers me. Got a bit of a rhythm in the end but I'd already used up all my fairies :slol: Second time lucky, maybe

Just cooked a whole load of Mighty Meals. He gon' regret messing with me 8-) Link will be HENCH

EDIT: Third time's the charm! 8-)

So I played Breath of the Wild to death when it first came out, held off on the DLC because I was pretty burned out on the game, but it's been some time now and I could probably get into another play through some time, I was wondering if people think the DLC is worth it?

I've been put off the DLC by the fact that I'm going to get absolutely nothing from the first DLC pack :shifty: I don't care for a hard mode or a baddy-rush mode. If I could buy the second pack on it's own I'd probably be all over it.

Yeah, I'm not fussed about those aspects either, so makes me wonder if it's worth it.

The Master trials is a lot more than a baddy rush mode. It’s more like an escalating Eventide island that requires strategy and resource management. It’s the best of these Cave of Ordeals style things I’ve done in a Zelda game. The second pack has the best dungeon in the game, possibly the best boss fight, some more shrines and several ne cutscenes which though flesh out the Champions a bit are not especially interesting. The DLC costume packs are really great to as they provide more reason to explore and are cool rewards. Master Mode is nothing to write home about really.

For the price you pay there’s plenty more content, if you’re looking for an excuse to jump back into the world it’s definitely worth it. If you go in expecting lots of dramatic new stuff though you’ll probably be disappointed as it just builds on what’s already there.

Still doesn't sound like anything I'd bother with, so I'd be paying for a pack I'll get nothing from. Does feel like a lot of it should have already been in the game, too (the route tracking and the Korok mask, at least). Not a practise I want to encourage from Nintendo...

I was against it, but it's really made my second play through feel different, because there's more to find (I enjoy the hints and hunting down the armour for example). I've not got to the champions ballad yet but I'm working towards that at the moment.

How many of these MAJOR TEST OF STRENGTH shrines are there? Trying to find the remaining 30 shrines I need and the last five I've found have all been the same thing :dread: It's a little dull, really. Give me more puzzles (why no harder versions of puzzle shrines?), not crappy combat.

Found the last memory earlier too, so now my Main Quest is just DEFEAT GANON. Getting to the end of the road.

I think there are 20 test of strength shrines in total (major/moderate/minor). After the first few, it was always quite disappointing to find one.

Phew, hopefully I'm getting down them, then! It's always a bit sad finding one of those or a shrine that's literally just a single room puzzle.

Just found a shrine that needs a blood moon before it'll appear :dread: Best go slay some baddies...

I do agree they aren't brilliant, but I do like the small variations between them, like some having water on the floor so you can create ice pillars for cover, and others having metal pillars that can be pulled up for cover with magnesis.

With the bloodmoon shrine, the best thing to do is not to actively try and trigger it, but to just remember to teleport back there the next time a bloodmoon happens. You can get there in time from the nearby stable, and if you have the DLC it's easy if you just lay down the custom teleport point

I enjoyed those shrines. I remember the first time I stumbled upon a major test of strength and got steamrolled by the son of a bitch.

Three shrines left (four if you count the blood moon shrine), and I've got no idea where they are :slol: Just done that Royal Guard's Gear quest. Glad he didn't want to see EVERY piece of the set! Will try and cook something for the other fella in that stable soon. Think I've found the right recipes, anyway!

I'd put money on at least one of these being in the Gerudo region of the map.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Is that DLC reduction just on the switch store?
