Have you checked your bows? If you look at your inventory screen in a storm you’ll see sparks around the susceptible items.

Only ones with metal, as balladeer says in the inventory sparks will happen on items that are conductive.

You can physically drop/throw stuff if you want, but as others say it's just about un-equiping any spark items.

Throwing metal things into a group of enemies is a valid tactic though as they still act as lightning conductors and so you can effectively weaponise the storm!

Got my WiiU back off my friend so have my original save file back.

We reviewed his time with it using the tracker. He’s a Zelda fan but not a big gamer, yet over the course of a year put 130 hours into this and says it’s the best game he’s ever played. I’m oddly proud of him

Reviewing what he’d got up to was fascinating, seeing how differently he played to me and even after a 130 hours how little of the map he’d covered. He’d completely missed what I consider some pretty major stuff, not touching Satori Mountain, barely exploring Hebra, missing several mini games and great environmental Easter eggs like the ranch.

Just gives me more appreciation for how packed this game really is

If you’ve seen a speedrun of this lately, this is very funny.

I have never played a Zelda game in my life and am about to start this once I've completed Super Mario Odyssey.

I hope I like it

I've never finished a Zelda game. Planning on getting this when I get a switch lite so maybe this will be the first?

I've played it for 100+ hours on Cemu and then twice on Switch for well over double that time and still haven't finished it or the DLC :fp:

DLC turns link into Hansel and Gretel so that he can leave a trail of breadcrumbs behind him which you can look at on the map.

A new divine beast.
The trial of the sword.
A bunch of cosmetic armour sets and associated sidequests to find them.

Plus some other things.

Oh I see, you thank OR but not me or Pedz for our contributions?! :x

You do get a Motorbike and the Hero's Path which shows you where you have been on the map throughout the game as well which is an excellent feature IMO. :P

Does this apply retrospectively, or does it only commence at the point you obtain the DLC?

It applies retrospectively up to the last 200 hours I believe.

It's a really interesting way of looking at how you progressed through the world!

If Dan's trying to cut me down, you know that I might bleed... 'cause if Dan's trying to cut me down, I know that he'll succeed :(

The DLC is pretty good, it could be better of course but for £17 or so it’s worth it in my opinion.

- Lots of other armour pieces/sets (however some are negated useless if you get the DLC after completing the game, depending how many armour sets you’ve found and how much you’ve upgraded your current armour sets as you’ll already have better rated armour with the same perks, one exception being the phantom armour where if you’re like me and still avoid Lynels at all cost is pretty decent as you get a 3+ bonus to attack with reasonable defence without having to upgrade the Barbarian armour set).

- The trial of the sword is good but not great, once done it makes the Master Sword live up to its name.

- The Motorbike is a lot of fun :D

- The Champions Ballad DLC is good, good 5th Divine Beast to tackle as well with an amazing boss fight at the end.

- The Hero’s Path feature is actually one of my favourite features added in the DLC though (I think it should have been in the main game but what do I know), its really neat to look how your adventure panned out from the Great Plateau to beating the final boss, really helpful for finding new locations and Korok seeds as well. Once I finished the game and the Champions Ballad DLC I actually set it to play to see how my journey unfolded after spending around 120 hours exploring Hyrule for the second time (never bought the DLC on the Wii U so never had this feature to look at).
