Such a shame the Switch version butchered the Wii U one. Would love to have seen what they could do with the GamePad.

There is a real sense it could have had so much more cool stuff going on. The inventory was so meant to be on the second screen and it would have been so much better to use if it was.

Note making on the map. Also I think there is a decent chance the reason it has so many combat shrines is because they culled a bunch of puzzles that used the touch screen.

Yeah definitely it's a shame there was never a leak from Ninento of the original version or something.

Do you want endless shitty ball maze motion control shrines? Because that's how you get endless shitty ball maze motion control shrines.

I think you would originally have had to hold the pad up to the screen to zoom and mark things, plus turn the pad upside down or some shite to activate the sheika terminals.

Hell no, but you could have slide puzzle things and other "touch" elements that aren't possible on the Switch.

Did a few minor sub-quests today in Kakariko before moving into the Hateno area and locating a couple of shrines. The day has disappeared.

The voice acting is so gooseberry fool in this. It's been a while since I saw a cut scene so forgot all about it. The old guy at the beginning is like a 17 year old pretending to be Santa.

I'd take a million of them over fighting more stuff. Specially when the overworld was crying out for more variety in enemies.

I can imagine a whole side quest where you make drawings of constellations in the night sky for an observatory. And that those symbols become part of puzzles in old temples with lore and story hints. What if that's how you made one of the dragons appear?

Imagine finding some old scribbles on a wall and you sketch it onto the gamepad. Then you realise it's an ancient map leading to a secret and you can overlay the drawing on the map.

Imagine a side quest where across the world are the same decayed markings and its only by visiting them all you can complete the message or code as with each discovery you add to the gaps that are in your drawing.

Didn't we do all that kind of stuff on the DS?

I have seen a few shops but I haven't looked at the items or bought anything yet. I think I need to concentrate on the "starting zone" as, although it's brilliant just wandering around the vast landscape, most of the baddies that I bump into are too overpowered for me at present. I found another tower but couldn't climb it because something fast was throwing electrical bolts at me :o .

You can usually take out a camp without then noticing you, I tend to find a hill and roll bombs or if there is a skull cave you can shoot the rope out that hold up the lamp and it causes some boomage.

I did try and take out a skull cave camp by standing on the roof chucking bombs down at the goblins. I think they were wearing armour as they each took about three hits to die. But then I had to tackle a few at ground-level and they one-hit killed me.

The shops might sell stuff that could help you.

They only scraped the barrel of what could have been done. And to implement them into a full 3D game would have been something extra.

You can usually just stand on the skull and drop bombs through the eyes. Tip brought to you by Cheeky Devlins Cheese Factory!

Arrows seem to be pretty hard to come by. I guess I need to visit the shops and check out what kit they have.

Yeah they sell them in a shop where you see impa and a lot of the others sales dudes have them. Also you pick up all the arrows from your missed shots once you are done so generally you get them back
