I would like to confirm that you don’t need either of those.

Rubber armour you find in shrines I believe (best off googling which ones) and I believe you can find a 5 shot bow in Korok Forest if you’ve not been or from Lynels.

Lynel bows are 3 shot by default. One of the random modifiers they can have (like durability up or attack up) is to have 5 shots rather than 3. Basically if you kill some Lynels they are pretty likely to drop.

The rubber armour set is split up all over the place, I don't remember where I'm afraid

I don't think I found the rubber armour until after doing this boss, would certainly have made things easier!

Gerudo was the last Divine Beast I did and the last area of the map I had to explore so I went in pretty OP. Boss balancing is pretty much made impossible by the open design of the game unfortunately - I found all of them far too easy, but it's so dependent on equipment and progress.

I went for the Gerudo divine beast as my second and it was the one I had most problems with. I have no qualms about the openness of the game, but would have appreciated some more direction as to an advised order after the Zora beast.

It's not a complaint so much as an observation - any fixed boss can't be balanced in difficulty if it can be fought at any point during the game.

I maintain the game is pretty good at guiding the player towards death mountain following the zora.

I wouldn’t say boss balancing is impossible. The game knows how many hearts, how much meter and what equipment you have. It could adjust bosses strength based on that. Whether they should, as a design decision is another matter, but there’s certainly ways they could do it.

I think they could've used some kind of difficulty scaling to sort out the imbalance in bosses once you get better. Either just making them stronger or have an extra couple of attack patterns if you have beaten the others. Or some way of handicapping your gear choices? I dunno, but there's definitely ways other games have adjusted the curve depending on what you've finished prior.

edit - Drat! Beaten to it!

Agree with Tomours. It should be hard to implement. It's like rubber-banding in racing games.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

The gerudo one was the hardest for me because I didn't have a strawberry floating clue how to hurt him.

Oh yeah you can start doing level scaling (hence "fixed" boss) but as you say that comes with a whole host of design decisions.

BOTW does have level scaling, and I'm not a huge fan of it even though it mostly works.

Doing Gerudo boss 2nd because that was the only area I could travel where environment or enemies weren't too harsh.

Beat electric boss! Just tanked him with food that gives temporary hearts  so victory felt a little hollow but it's done now.

Made my way to the bird people village with the flying beast.

Only have one more tower map to get but its in the middle of a lake surrounded by enemies D:

Ooh, that was a difficult one to reach, but get to it I did. Don't try to attack anyone. Just rush on through using Cryosis and the small parts of land that stick up on the... I think east side of the lake. Maybe more north than east. Took me plenty of tries, and that was without any powers from the Champions.

I enjoyed the more challenging towers, some of the early ones (although obviously there's no real order to them so calling them early doesn't really hold!) were basically just "see tower, walk to tower, climb tower" and that was a bit dull but later on when they required more skill to climb and involved using powers etc. then it was a nice little spike to come across one.

Decided to do some exploring. Climbed a big snowy mountain where a infected dragon was hiding. Cool fight ensued which involved chasing him around the mountain range shooting the evil eyes on his back.

Some of the shrines are frustrating. Where you have to tilt the console to move a ball. strawberry floating me right off they are.
