Another Q how do you dive into water? (As in when entering water - not submerging while swimming)

Jump as you reach the edge of the water. Or at least that is what happened to me earlier.

Can I just check: did anyone else struggle to find and keep hold of any weapons? I've been wandering the plateau for 4 hours and all I can find are sticks and a club that I smashed up.

It's night time and I found a pair of monsters asleep! I snuck up and stole their clubs

So far weapons are very disposable. Best to keep a range of low-high damage weapons and use the best one for the situation. No need to use something that does 12 dmg on a single bokoblin for example.

I'm guessing as the game progresses you'll find some weapons that'll last a bit longer and that you'll be able to repair as well. I can't imagine they'll be giving you the Master Sword and then letting you lose it because you hit a squirrel.

Do the optional chests in the shrines and you will get plenty of decent weapons.

Not sure where you are but I just entered an area where its really bad.

Octoroc wrote:It's not choppy if you play it on the Switch itself. It would be nice to have the option to play it in 720p on the TV too.

Hopefully they patch that in. Most of the time it seems to be alright, but when it dives it really dives.

Having trouble with finding weapons too.

Does anyone know if you can find a booklog in the game? I'm finding I'm forgetting where things are, especially the rumours. Don't want to have to start writing things down.

Also, anyone come across those blue Pokemon looking things in fields? Yet to catch one.

I've been using the map pins and icons to keep a track of anything of interest, or stuff like cooking pots. As for weapons, you get some durable 12+ damage weapons from the shrines or from little puzzles on the overworld often enough.

Spent a couple of hours last night hunting for Koroks instead of making my way to the next part of the quest, before I realised it, it was 3am.

I dread to think how many there are to find in this game.

I can barely move for weapons  I clear space for one thing then I have to ditch the thing I just picked up. :x

Make sure your keeping an eye out for chests (bombable walls and quite a few in water) and remember you have other tools you can use. Get a headshot in first or sneak up or chuck a bomb at them.

My favourites so are the spear types. Pokey pokey! Got this ace Zora spear. Alas it has gone now. :( I glided off the plateau by the tower. Down to the Moblin below. Just stabbed him right in the face with it from the skies. It was so awesome. Wish I could have saved it.

This game is strawberry floating incredible. I hate that I have to go to work tomorrow, as it takes me away from the game.

The single best decision Nintendo made for this game is not using an experience point system like the open world RPGs that inspired the rest of the gameplay. I actually can't quite believe Nintendo have made this.

It's the little things but I love that when you drop an item, it drops it away from you instead of straight down.

I was somewhat concerned about the item durability system, but it honestly hasn't bothered me once since starting. In fact, it's made me switch up the weapons and my playstyle and I've found myself enjoying playing all the more because of it.

In most games I just power through or grind it out in the case of RPG's, couldn't imagine myself doing that here for fear of missing something unless you count hunting down all the shrines and treasure as grinding.

Got a strawberry floating sick 20+ Damage weapon but it broke :(

I'd be annoyed at losing cool weapons but the rate the game throws awesome gear at you doesn't leave much time for mourning.

Yep. Saw a bunch while doing the quest to get the above mentioned weapon along with some other ridiculously cool stuff. Not sure whether to shoot or try and catch one. They're very flighty. They're called a Glibby or something like that.

I've found 15 so far. Only found 4 shrines outside of the first area.
