Just tried out my full set of amiibo cards and I've got such a load of high level gear that I shouldn't have for a looong time but I'm not even off the plateau yet. I won't be using it again as it feels like cheating, but it's nice to have a load of food stocked up.

Paid cheats :fp:

Yeah if you scan the Wolf Link Amiibo, think I've only used mine the once though.

It's the twilight princess amiibo. I have the real one, and it's health and strength is tied to how far you got in the trials dungeons in TP. My real one had about 6 hearts because I never bothered with it. My card one is at full strength :datass:

In over 100 hours of gameplay I don't think I've ever bothered to parry once in this game!

As I finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 last night I'm planning to get back to this and finish off the last few shrines and seek out any quests I've not gotten round to yet.

I'm having fun playing this again and trying to do things differently from the start, like ignore where you're told you should head for first and instead head north to fight a few of the rock monster things. Also trying to take out monsters in the most creative way possible rather than just wail on them with a sword.

Should go back to this and clean up a few sidequests. Hope the DLC gets discounted at some point or maybe we'll see a switch rerelease with it included so it's effectively cheaper.

Speaking of the DLC, There's a fair few side quests that become active once you get a little way in, far more than the footnotes of it would lead you to believe. Granted most seem to be treasure hunts but I'm looking forward to hunting them down

Yeah I actually really enjoyed finding most of the treasure from the clues given.

Sadly I'm playing my second play through much like my first though, ie going to the Zora's first after Kakariko etc. I could change which order I do the rest in but I probably won't as I quite liked the order I did them in first time round and don't really see that much changing. I'm definitely exploring a lot more though, only found about 100 Korok seeds in my Wii U play through meanwhile I'm nearer 200 on my Switch with nowhere near the full map explored (about half from what I recall). Currently playing Xenoblade so this is on the back burner at the moment.

Love the switch 30 second capture feature, perfect for those little 'What if?' Moments.

The bow aiming is perfect in this game

What if I just shot the rushrooms off instead of climb up to get them?

I wonder if I can just bash this box against thus enemy instead of fighting it?

Jawa, play. This. Game. :capnscotty:

The motion aiming is indeed amazing - which is something I never thought I'd say. When I was playing Horizon I kept tilting the PS4 controller after getting used to the Switch, and it was horrible not having it.

Yeah, the tilt aiming was great, definitely something that more games should be doing.

It was useless in handheld and the top score on the horse archery was balanced for it, so it remains the only minigame I haven't completed (hence I'm missing a piece of horse armour :( )

Tempted to pick this up now I've got a Wii U to see what all the fuss is about - How does the Wii U version play compared to the Switch one? Guess as it's such a massive world it might stumble a little when it all kicks off. The Switch version doesn't really get much extra, does it? Just a t-shirt or something, right? :shifty:

Gameplay-wise they have the same content; the Switch tshirt is part of the Expansion Pass and can be worn in both versions. Technically the Switch version has a slight edge but there's not much in it.

Oh, and the Sheikah Slate item was definitely based on the Gamepad :-).

They're identical apart from the switch is slightly higher in resolution and frame rate.

I kept my U version :toot:
