It was just the cross-section looking off but it seems to fit together well so I'm proceeding onwards.

Aren't the Lego instructions weirdly isometric? Or they're rendered in perspective but it's never been quite right the lens they use or something (I'm talking in terms of the actual 3d spade model and "viewport" they use). When things get complicated it can throw one off. Like in real life bifocal vision and perspective is way more complex than 3d models.

I often have to count studs with reference to the picture instead of 1:1 comparing in my mind because I can tell it's off. The overall picture will often look "wrong".

Got this set from the Lego store at the weekend, £135. Had a good look around as I’ve got a bit of spare dollar at the moment and been wanting to do a big one for a while. Wasn’t sure what to go for, The Infinity Saga Guardians ship was also a contender as was Bowsers ship and just the Medieval Castle 3 in 1 set. Plumped for this in the end as I’ve seen how much Lego interiors have come on in recent years, I’ve done some smaller ships in the past and am unsure how fun the bigger ones are.

I’m about 80% done and do not regret my decision at all, it’s such a treat with all the details inside and the structuring of the upper floors, staircase and over hang are just a joy to put together. Tips of fingers are a bit sore as there’s lots of tiny parts to create all the detail. I think it’s lacking in the playability aspect a little, but I suppose you sacrifice that with some of these adult sets. Will enjoy finishing it for a while and display it for a bit before giving it a second home somewhere. Very impressed wife this is the standard of the Ideas range and won’t hesitate to try out another.

Medieval blacksmith is good but that tree is a fiddly bastard. I just have to look at it and it will fall apart.

It's that most wonderful time of the Lego year, the unveiling of the new Christmas lego. And this year it's

Looks a bit meh. I might get the Hogsmeade set instead.

The tree is the worst part by far. It's an excellent model but it's set a high enough watermark for these sets that I can't see myself buying anything else for the foreseeable future.

Especially as the Tree House set was a really annoying build in the end.

Just looking around & found these buildable lego figures of Harry Potter & Hermione Granger for £119.99

https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/harr ... nger-76393

If they sell well I hope they will do other stuff like DC & Marvel.

I didn’t see anybody mention the new range of Marvel minifigs based on the D+ shows. So far I’ve managed to blind-bag Falcon Cap, Bucky, Wanda, Sylvie and Zombie Cap and managed to pick up Captain Carter and T’Challa Star Lord. They’re all pretty nice. I quite like how Sylvie comes with Crocodile Loki which is a nice touch.

The Lego Store in Birmingham had them all split out into little boxes with labels on  kinda takes the "fun" out of it.

....I just bought a full set off ebay :shifty:

Loki comes with Throg too, which is great  but he seems to be the fig that everyone wants, so it's really hard to find.

The Liverpool store had a staff member just fondling bag after bag then putting them into boxes as per their contents. My friend got a Loki though so totally worth it!

They messed up the VIP exchange rate in an email earlier so they're honouring it for the next day or so. £20 is currently 2600 points whereas I think it is normally around 3,200.

Every year I say it's my last set, but this has a working chimney for Santa and it's literally all my son has wanted to do with every other set we've got. So looks like I'm getting this one as well.

I'm looking for a display case for my Lego Disney Castle. Anyone got any ideas where I can source one.

I've seen this one
https://www.wickedbrick.com/products/di ... stle-71040

But it seems a little excessive or am I being too hopeful?

Until midnight today. £50 is 6500 points and £100 is 13000 points. Picked up the Seinfeld set for free.
