Few more pics of the Mustang build. Some during the build.

Really tempted to take the whole thing apart and start again. Such a cool build and a beautiful final model.

Lovely stuff.

Mine is still on backorder. Apparently it's being shipped out on the 9th April.

I suspect if I'd just gone to the shop I'd have better luck.

Same here.

I want it but I have no room for it and I’ll need some more space for my future Lego.

I'm not normally much of a fan of car builds, but that Mustang is bee-yoo-ta-ful.

Some work in progress shots of my own, from Hogwarts. Started building it just after Christmas and I'm almost at the halfway stage. Going by how long it took me to build the Falcon, I reckon this should be finished by the Summer...

One thing you can't really get from the pictures as that each of those windows has a 'stained glass' effect that's made of about 5 or 6 individual coloured squares. Takes floating ages. Great build so far though, love the detail.

That's awesome. I wasn't sure about the microscale style when I first saw it, but it looks incredible.

Wow Lego are shipping their kits assembled, finally after all this time the legions have been heard. Now all you have to do is prise it apart piece by piece and throw it into the decades' piles of plastic treasure (with all of those coloured translucent 1x1s right at the bottom) and shut the lid, never to be built again.

How much time do you folks spend building specific sets versus coming up with your own Lego creations?

As a kid I was always really into creating what the instructions told me to, playing with it for a bit and then consigning everything to the pile of bits - maybe to get rebuilt once or twice again but probably not. I enjoyed trying to come up with my own creations but lacked some of the flair and imagination required as a youngster. (my oldest brother was really good at his own designs as well which is probably something that put me off - simple jealousy!)

My kids now by contrast are only briefly interested in following the instructions and seem to spend the vast majority of their time coming up with their own designs and creations! By extension I am now spending a lot of my own time doing this as well and feel like I have finally grown into my Master Builder skill set now I'm in my thirties!

I always used to build my own stuff. After I built a set initially for the first time it would get broken down and then dumped in a giant box with all the other bits then I'd build random things from that.

I think the best thing I ever did was either the SW Episode 1 Tank (which would was fairly large and had movable turrets and things - wish I had pictures!) or a Yellow Submarine along with blue meanie characters  oh and Daleks. I imagine that nearly everyone has made Daleks right? :slol:

I don't really want to buy and Star Wars Lego but that Battle of Hoth micro set that you get with purchases over £75 is really tempting me.

I'm glad they're launching the Blockade Runner this week, so I can get the mini-build with that  Most of the smaller kits in the Star Wars range don't do much for me at the moment.

Did anyone else get an email about a midnight launch on the 15th? Just seen rumours of Stranger Things lego, so I'm wondering if the two are connected...

(Am on my phone so can't add an image easily soz guys x)

Was just looking @ Star Wars Lego & they’ve bought back Slave 1 & Sandcrawler.

Wish they would bring back R2D2 https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/product/R2-D2-10225

The sandcrawler is alright build.

I've ordered the block runner set, and nabbed two freebies.

The problem I have is sorting space to put the damn thing. Saw it on display at a lego store few days and it's huge.
