The Lego NES is currently £178.49 on the official Nintendo store (and you can get a £5 quidco boost today only, Quidco on this is only 1% though so total £6.78). That seems like just the sort of price that I should be buying for a Christmas present after a very difficult year /justification
Just checked my email and Zavvi were doing a 15% off Lego code for two hours Managed to get in with five minutes to spare and picked up the Iron Man bust for £38, which isn't too shabby. Really want the Boba Fett bust so I'm *hoping* someone's picked it up for me for christmas.
Picked up a few bits for the boy for Xmas. Finally managed to get the Elf House after lots of stock issues (I had alerts set up but still kept missing out.)
I've also got him the Mario Lego starter set, and the King Boo expansion. He'll love it. I bought the stuff from different places so missed out on the Ice rink free gift, which i was a bit gutted about, but I saved a load of money vs Lego prices.
Can't really say I was surprised to get it since I was the one who had to order it (even though it was meant to be a present), but I've spent pretty much all of today constructing the latest Millennium Falcon. First time I've built a set in over five years. It was fun, even if the top plates were a bit fiddly to keep together until almost complete. It's also probably going to be the only set for the next five years unless I were to move house or this one were to somehow magically get larger. Anyway, have some pictures from certain points of building and the finished thing.

They're amazing, and they do indeed use some kind of dark magic. Combined with an older-style green one, it can separate atomic-level Lego bonding, such as to 2x4 plates pressed together as hard as they will go (I don't think you can do that with 2 x orange)

I also saw a really cool roof built out of them upside down as well.
Well Brexit is noticeably hitting deliveries from the Lego website as well unsurprisingly. Time was stuff left the Belgium distribution centre within a day- my order's been there five days and counting.
I got a larger Millennium Falcon currently being built, but it's not LEGO. It's a Hong Kong knock off, that was delivered without a box in four seperate tightly wrapped bags, stuffed full of a load of smaller bags with the numbers half or fully faded. Looked at the website once it had arrived, I'm pretty sure they're the makers of said product, since the store it was ordered from is based in Hong Kong. Following the official instructions on the LEGO website and everything so far is present and correct, so can't really complain. Well, we did, so they're sending us another one rather than giving us a refund. Brilliant. Probably have a hard time selling it on, though.
Is it the UCS model? I've seen a lot of the knock-off sets don't bother with sorting the bricks into bags at all to build it in stages, so with any larger set you'll spend the first day or so just organising the bricks into whatever order you can
There's a ludicrous Lepin Star Destroyer that's like 10,000+ pieces and so you can imagine the faff you'll have trying to find the right bit during the early stages!
