Can't remember where the speedboat is from, but I have really vivid memories of actually building it whilst on holiday one summer. Those were the days!

Figured it was about time to try and sort out my vintage lego instruction books and I've just found the instructions for that boat! That's why it looked so familiar

I've still got a technic catalogue from 1998, too. The barcode truck is still one of my dream sets The technic space shuttle, too! What a monster.
