It's actually such a dreadful store, the layout is terrible and doesn't help when people stand on the stairs taking pictures... Also the queue when there's barely anyone actually inside shows how awfully planned out it is...

Go to Stratford instead...

I was in the west end this evening, couldn't believe it when I saw the size of the queue. As you said I didn't look like there were actually many people in the store either which was a bit odd.

This Christmas, I've got this...

Image

So, today I bought this.

Image

I always love LEGO since when I was younger and I haven't built anything since like five years ago, so I built LEGO Architecture New York City and it brought my inner child out again. It gives me an idea to buy the set of cities in LEGO only if I've been visited there.

New York City - Checked.
Venice - Checked.
London - Checked.
Berlin - n/a
Chicago - n/a
Sydney - n/a

LEGO Architecture London, Chicago and Sydney will be available in 2017, so I will keep an eye on London and I will buy it when it becomes available. I hope they will make some more cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles or Las Vegas one day. Of course, I would like to visit Berlin, Chicago and Sydney one day so I can collect them all and build them as well. :D

So that London set is nowhere near as pricey as I thought it would be...

I didn't realise they'd got the Lego Batman Movie sets out yet :o Will have to look at the range later!

Just been clearing out my Lego cupboard, and I think it's probably about time to get rid of my power functions train track. It's the stuff you get with the battery powered train sets and the christmas train, so it's not the 9V stuff - I've got a set of points, 52 curved sections (enough for three and a quarter full circles) and 16 straight pieces. Anyone on here interested, or should I stick it on ebay and hope for the best? :shifty:

No idea how much it's worth, either :dread:

I've only been buying sets for the past 3 years or so, easily spent a grand so far, so expensive but therapeutic

Perks of my friend working at Tesco, he's just bought an entire box of the Lego Batman minifigs :slol:

Apparently there should be three full sets in there :toot: let's find out!

I think I need three maybe four to complete the set if you get spares!

Picked up The Beatles Yellow Submarine today. Really good build, with quite a few fiddly bits. Always find it a bit funny that they'll stick in a strange coloured brick just to have it surrounded completely.

Re the final picture: you probably shouldn't use it as an actual bath toy.

Having now seen the film, the Lego Batman range of minifigs are kinda dissapointing. There's none of the proper hero outfits (pink Batgirl rather than the classic outfit, for example), no Alfred, and the most C-list of the C-list villains. Seems like they've left all the best minifigs to encourage people to buy the sets :(

Most of the characters in the set only have seconds of screen time! My favourite set from the film so far is the clay face set, so much fun to build

Quick question, do VIP points on the Lego site have an expiry?
