I built the ultimate Darth Vader (where you combine three different sets) one and it’s actually swish on the wall. Don’t think I’ll go down the same route for the Iron Man as it’s a very tedious build.

As for the Map, pointless for me. But I can see travellers will love it.

Just out of interest (as I think I’m definitely going to get one of them, if I get 3 I’d prefer the 3 different Sith rather than a large Vader), what have you got it hung up with? Screwed in picture hooks or the self adhesive ones? I imagine for the 3 piece you’d need the former but I was wondering if I could get away with the latter for displaying them individually? I’ve looked at the Iron Man one as well, the extended one looks amazing but the 3 individual ones not so much to me.

Heavy duty Screws is the way, and you’ll need proper wall screws and stuff as it’s quite heavy.

It have two Lego pieces that you can slot in the back after you finished it. I find it safer to use two more for the ultimate one.

It can be fiddly as you need to measure on the wall accurately, as you may need to drill. As for individual sets, it’s obviously less heavy but you still need heavy duty screws. Filmsy screws wouldn’t do a good job.

Yeah. Something like that but I would hold off until you get the set. The screw holes in the Lego parts used to hang it up are like one stud wide.

Is it wrong that I'm tempted to get the lego typewriter just to see if I can get a few custom Resident Evil minifigs to display with it? :slol:

Trying to impulsively waste money on the Aston Martin but the website is just constantly telling me my bag is empty even though it says it now has 5 items in it in the corner. Have tried multiple browsers, clearing cache and doing it on my phone so the thrill of an impulsive purchase has pretty much worn off for now.

I got one of those Star Wars busts for Christmas (TIE Fighter Pilot) and while a bit of a fun, almost verging on therapeutic experience I'm glad I haven't caught any kind of bug to get more "adult" sets.

Yet.

It definitely sounds like you're asking for recommendations. To which I say, try a modular building.

Assembly Square has a lot of detail to it and is probably being retired soon. Lego.com is on Quidco.

I managed to hold out for two months but I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I've just bought two sets. This only happened because you linked me to the store.

11,695 pieces and they're all going to be tiny round ones :slol:

Going off the comments then I'm in the minority but I like maps and Lego so I'm very tempted by this. If they were to release a topographical (3D) pack of the land areas as well then I'd be all over it. #partoftheproblem

There's nothing stopping you buying more studs and doing it yourself. Perhaps add in satellite colours as well.

I don't even like Risk but I can see some fun game board possibilities.

Two copies of Assembly Square? One to keep, one to sell?

Zero. I got the Medieval Blacksmith and Elf Club House, which I'll save for Christmas Eve.

I was tempted by the Taj Mahal but like most of the Architecture sets it's naturally pretty plain and made up of one colour.

I still don't understand how that got 10,000 supporters, let alone actually get approved.

I've decided my LEGO hot take is that any set that includes minifigs should not be considered an "adults only" build.
