Finished Rivendell. Took about 35 hours in total. Really satisfying build that. Loved it. Had a lot of fun recreating scenes too.
The details are really marvelous.

Rivendell looks fantastic!

Seen that a couple of sets are coming later this year that I could be tempted by, another two Lego Art sets. One being an image of the Milky Way (hopefully done like Starry Night, with the stars popping out a little) and the other being Mona Lisa, which could look great, this would probably be done with studs so it might not be a great build. Both would probably look excellent on the wall though.

Not quite the bug builds that have been going on here, but I am enjoying my London and Chicago skylines next to each ither.

You should be able to see the rightmost building in the background on that last pic, but it's a bit foggy today.

I'd be tempted to get Tokyo, then I have the 3 cities I've lived in, but Tokyo doesn't really have a very iconic/attractive skyline lol.

Nice. I've got five of them in my spare room.

London
Venice
New York
San Francisco
Las Vegas

I visited them and bought the set as a memorabilia.

The details are fantastic. There's a chest in bilbos room that has sting and the mithril vest in.
I think im going to get the light kit for it. Looks lovely.

Been some really nice new sets put on the Lego site, Mercedes F1 model in the same scale as the McLaren from 2022, a smaller scale MP4-4 with a Senna mini figure looks terrific. Think I’ll go for the latter, not got space for another model the same size as the McLaren

I got London and I love it. I'm actually working on a few additional buildings - I've got relatively sorted plans for the BT Tower, the Tower of London and Battersea Power Station, and I might try and do the East Stand of Highbury but that might be difficult to keep in a reasonable scale.

I'm also working on one for Liverpool. I managed to make a small prototype of the Anglican cathedral, and think I could knock together a decent Liver Building, Albert Dock and Catholic cathedral. Maybe the Radiocity Tower as well :shifty:

So, the leaks of the D&D set seem to have been accurate! https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/dungeons-dragons-red-dragon-s-tale-21348?CMP=AFC-AffiliateUK-JF2DY0n6uhs-3146997-1539294-10

3745 pieces, and it comes with a companion one-shot adventure and a buildable Owlbear!

They've announced a D&D themed minifig series too, which has also leaked if anyone knows where to look :shifty:

It looks cool but not £315 cool. That price tag is definitely due to the D&D tie-in more than anything.

Still just waiting for the Zelda set that's probably not actually happening

Edit, have just ordered the Senna MP4/4 though :shifty:

I just finished my first ever rebuild of a set based of an alternate design from ReBrickable. I made the Medieval Windmill out of the Medieval Blacksmith set. It’s really cool that you can give models a second life with fan designs. The instructions are definitely a step down in quality and building can be quite a pain as you search for the right tiny piece but it’s produced a great looking model. The final model is definitely a bit wonky though with some odd fits and less sturdy features.

This will go well with my Viking Village, next up the Viking ship!

Funny you mention this as I’ve just started my first rebuild from ReBrickable - the Tree House (which I never liked that much) into a windmill on a hill. After a couple of days I’m only about a fifth of the way through due to that extreme fiddliness of trying to find individual pieces all in one go rather than bag by bag. And yeah you can definitely see a difference between an amateur hobbyist’s instructions compared to those drafted up the professionals at Lego. The one I’m working on really doesn’t like the concept of rotating the build to show you where things are meant to go it feels like.

I might have to stop and get one of those sorting boxes to keep going to be honest.

I don’t think I could turn the Medieval Blacksmith into anything else though. It’s pretty much the perfect build!
