Question, I really like the Sonic and Horizon sets that are out/coming out, do sets like these tend to go on sale before they get retired? Do Lego regularly do offers?

Also, are there any more video game themed sets planned?

They only tend to put the rreeeally expensive sets on sale if they're not selling too well.

Yeah, you're not likely to get many big discounts from Lego themselves but sometimes Amazon/John Lewis/various supermarkets reduce the big sets by a decent amount. The big Technic Supercars usually appear in Black Friday sales with at least a hundred quid knocked off. The Disney store cut a hundred quid off the UCS Star Destroyer, too. So it's just a case of keeping an eye on various stores, unfortunately.

I think it will depend how well the sets actually sell, too. They've reduced the helmet collection a few times over the past few months, so obviously I wasn't the only one who thought £55 was far too much for them...

They mention the Horizon set is their "first" Sony tie-in, so there's presumably more coming, but they haven't really given many hints as to what any other sets could be. Wonder how much of a payout Mega Bloks are hoping for for the Halo license... (I think they've still got the Pokemon license too, so they might be quids-in if Lego really do go all-in with video game licenses)

Lego God of War was what I was thinking, and a Breath of the Wild set would be cool to see

There's been a couple of Breath of the Wild sets shortlisted in the Ideas submissions a bunch of times, so there's a chance they've never approved any of them because they're already working on the license.

I’m conflicted about Zelda themed Lego, on the one hand it’d probably be fantastic to build and display, but on the other hand it’d be crazy expensive and I’d probably want far too many sets

A Temple of Time model would be amazing if they ventured down the Zelda route.

I know it’s out of stock now but I managed to get an order in for the Lego McLaren F1 car this morning, can’t wait to build it.

As a former Vespa owner, I'm very tempted to buy the new Lego kit, but £90 seems very steep. Looks like it's not a Lego Store exclusive so I'll hopefully find it a bit cheaper soon.

The Vespa looks like quite a neat set! I think I’d definitely be getting that had I ever owned a Vespa.

My McLaren F1 car is on its way to me anyway :toot:

Just done the first bag of the McLaren and so far it’s such a well put together set, I’ve never actually done a Technic set before so even the suspension has me a little amazed

Saw the Vespa on HotUKDeals for £74, so I've gone for it.

Those Mario sets don’t look great in my opinion. Will wait and see what the much rumoured Delorean looks like, will most likely get it at some point before it’s retired though.

Finished the McLaren yesterday anyhow, it’s certainly a large model!
