I started building this absolute unit in May (MAY FFS!) and have just finished it.

You'll notice the bare brick walls and wooden beams in the background, that's because I built it in my recently floored loft. Yes, that's right, I had to make an extra room in my house to keep it in.

Awesome set though, totally worth it.

Spent the weekend sorting all my childhood Lego into colours. Then to build a tiny kit it took me an hour combing through hundreds of white pieces to find one I only have 1x of, before realising I had already set it aside 2ft away before I had even started sorting on Saturday :fp:

I'm constantly trying to impress upon my kids the value (both functionally and aesthetically!) of sorting Lego into containers based on colour/size/shape - they just don't get it and stick with the "big mixed up pile of everything" approach!

"Think how quickly you could find the pieces you are looking for!?!?"

My parents would tell you that you wouldn't get the satisfaction of a child stirring a box full of plastic bricks around constantly

Haha, true. There is something pleasant and reassuring about the sound of a box of Lego being stirred!

As long as they don't leave any of it out on the floor for me to tread on! :x

Yeh my parents didn't appreciate me spreading my lego collection around on the carpet and bought me a big plaster storage box for it instead. I really should look for that because there's a lot of lego in there I could probably make a few quid on

The 790 piece Lego Classic set is £25 on Amazon today. This is a good price. I had previously only seen it for £35 anywhere (I was researching them for a present for my son so had genuinely shopped around for this exact set.)

We decided the boy is too young but I've bought it for next year

We've got a couple of these. The number of single stud pieces is quite staggering. So I'd say no, not really.

Oh, boy, I'd be super-keen for Lego stuff based on videogames... but I'm not an Overwatch fan. Bring on Fallout... or Mad Max... or Final Fantasy XIV and I'd be there, though :-).

I'm glad you can't buy these as I would be a poor man.

Gee... they look *so* cool. I'd imagine they'd be pretty expensive if they were official builds!
