I think it refers to sheer complexity rather than the theme.

Just seen that Lego are going to be re-releasing a select few of their discontinued sets for VIPs. Starting with the UCS Snowspeeder and then the Ideas Pop-Up Book set...

Wonder how they decide which ones to bring back? I'd love it if they brought the Ideas Bird set back. Would be great if they went either further back and did a couple of Adventurers or Rock Raiders or Alpha Team sets or something  No chance.

This could be testing the waters for retro sets making a return. Some of their iconic ones, the original spaceship, pirate stuff, Lego Castle, maybe even some Technic sets. I could see the nostaligia hit being strong for people.

I'd be there day 1 for an 80s Technic Car Chassis rerelease.

Lego NES was a nice build. Only annoying thing was putting together the panels for the TV screen. Fiddly bastards.

A couple of years back I picked up a boxed and 99% complete 8860 car chassis on Gumtree for my cousin - I think it was £50.

I cleaned it all up and restored it with a few parts from Bricklink, and got to build it to make sure it was all there.

I'd always wanted to have a build of that one (although I don't normally 'do' technic), and he was chuffed to bits.

Keep your eyes peeled and they are out there!

Oooof. So the new Harry Potter set they've been teasing for the past few days is a modular Diagon Alley! Over 5000 pieces and more than a metre long

Was debating buying the piano in the lego store earlier but talked myself out of it because I had no room, and I'm still tempted by this beast.

Oh, if only I could get it. Lack of space makes such a thing difficult, same as that LEGO NES.

Ordered it :fp: Finally got rid of 32,000 of my VIP points. Now to think about where it could possibly go!

It's not very interesting, and there's a lot of unused space underneath that could have a lower route.
